Bosses have their own quite complex logic for who they attack. I don't know how much Shabriri's Woe affects it. Very possible it has some effect of course.

From what I've observed during MP, and using ashes *a lot*, they will first go for whoever is nearest to them, then, if someone else attacks, they'll go for that attacker and stay on them for a while and then, suddenly, after not focusing on you for a while, they'll try to aim attacks at you. Maybe this is because you're doing more damage than the other attacker? Could also just be a sort of timer thing, because Malenia shifted focus on to me even though I hadn't attacked in a while. (Perhaps consuming items, flasks and healing also causes aggro?)

But yeah, I'll try that talisman out anyway.

Is Shabiri's Woe like the Red Eye Ring in DS2? I pretty sure that didn't work for bosses.

No idea re the ring. This says 'Constantly attracts enemies' aggression.' Wiki says only usable in co-op, and cannot be used to make you target ahead of ashes. But supposedly, unequpping it after summing mimic tear causes mimic tear to then become primary target. Even against bosses. Supposedly. (I've seen a video of it working but that's hardly confirmation.)

Yeah that's what Red Eye Ring does in DS2, draws enemy aggro.

Right, so, Capital of Ash is the endgame basically. The two other zones that are supposed to be endgame/postgame are called Haligtree and Mohgwyn Palace, but I think you did them both already.

Here are some location names of easy to miss zones. Again, I think you've visited them all but can't hurt to check. · Jarburg · Volcano Manor Prison Town · Subterranean Shunning-Grounds · Frenzied Flame Proscription · Deeproot Depths.

Important questlines for endings are Ranni, Fia, Goldmask, Dung Eater, and there is also significant content for Hyetta (kind of tied to an ending but not mandatory for it), Alexander, Boc, Millicent, Nephali, and Patches that you might want to mop up. (There are a few other NPCs of course but off the top of my head I think those are the ones that get new content late-ish game you might have skimmed past.)

Here is some advice for finishing the game that I'm 99% sure will be helpful/reassuring but spoilered just in case.

Beating the final boss doesn't lock you into immediately choosing any particular ending.
Choosing an ending doesn't lock you into immediately starting NG+.
You can't get multiple endings in one run (without save file shenanigans).

Oh, I didn't mention her above, but you bringing up Boc's bad ending has reminded me that Sorceress Sellen has a pretty obscure quest that's easy to miss. It's not tied to any endings or anything, but I think it's worth taking the time to check out (it gets a bit dark! :slol:

I think she kind of got what she wanted? Sort of?? There's a talisman item description that basically says, when you learn enough about "primeval sorceries" (the stuff she was studying), you inevitably turn into one of those things. Doesn't look pleasant though...!
