Loved the activation mechanic of the first one from the off as well, though.

Took me bloody ages to find the final obelisk, it was only saylt right in the middle of the area, must have rode past it 10 times :lol:

Well I finally reached Commander Niall... and battered him on my first attempt :toot:

I knew in advance that he summons 2 banished knights so I used a couple of Bewitching Branches on them and they both pulled Niall's aggro onto them. He killed both of them for me whilst also taking significant damage, leaving me and Mimic Preezy to clean up :datass:

Level 120 (soon to be 121 once I cash in my Niall runes), 84 hours played.

April O'Neil was tough as well!!

I don't think I ever even read the item description for the bewitching branch - that would have been cool to play around with! :fp:

The silver darts have a similar effect on the golem mobs. (All except the gargoyle bosses.) Freaking hilarious seeing the imps lamp one another.

That was easily the toughest boss to beat so far, must have had 10 tries at it. In the end though he fell, just like all the others :nod:

As someone that struggled massively with Dark Souls 1 (didn't get close to finishing it), I'm quietly pleased with myself for how I've done so far with Elden Ring. I can't quite believe how far I've managed to get :slol:

It's definitely a less punishing game than DS1, but the scale of it definitely brings other challenges to overcome, including open-world fatigue. I'd have given up on most other open-world games long ago by this point. I just love it :wub:

Made some progress into CFA but it's hella scary :slol:

so instead of getting too deep into that area I decided instead to revisit some other areas and absolutely brutalize everyone I encountered, feels good to be strong :nod:

Head over to Minor Erdtree in Caelid/Dragonbarrow. (It's the eastern tree in Caelid.) Reach bottom to fight "secret boss" golem.

Caelid is obviously not a nice place, but I actually (perversely) find some comfort in its familiarity :lol:

It's places like The Capital and CFA that really give me the willies :dread:

And it's got plenty more awaiting your return :twisted:

Capital had me on tenterhooks even in replays. CFA is harder, but not being sure where to go / getting lost + difficult mobs = maximum agitation.
