Totally agree with the sentiment - there's clearly a great deal of sexism in the gaming industry. Found that utterly mesmerising to watch, though. She's clearly been pushed to the brink. Very uncomfortable viewing.

The fact she's angered quite a few people with that outburst kind of validates her point that an element of the gaming industry and culture is sexist against women.

The thing I don't particularly like, and its something a lot of the more vocal feminists do, is the assumption that all men have the same attitude towards women, which is obviously incorrect otherewise most of us wouldn't be agreeing with what she said.

Gaming should definitely be something anyone regardless of gender, sexuality or ethnicity can participate in and enjoy as equals and some changes are needed to make that happen, starting with the toxic attitude some gamers have.

I've never seen this happen before - are you able to give some examples?

I watched a video recently of 4 gamer women talking about this which was a tough watch. I haven’t finished it yet but the women were talking about her looks first which was something I wasn’t expecting from the video. One of them clearly loved themselves.
