I have done yeah. In 3D it's a bit harder to make sure the texture is facing the right direction, but in 2D it's nice and simple.

Yes, it's nice that it works by default so you don't have to worry about it too much

We got a physical release over here back in September, for whatever reason it took a few months to reach us.

I'm kinda disappointed with Game Builder Garage; but I think that's totally down to me rather than the game (utility) itself.

I liked the idea of GBG - building up a game and being creative... wahoo! - but the reality is that the mechanisms are pretty complex, time-consuming and ache the brain. Just like real coding. I think I'd have preferred a Mario Maker type of builder but with "more stuff". Something that, sure, has fewer possibilities but is easier to pick up and play with.

This is on me, of course, as GBG is terrific for what it is; it offers an astounding degree of flexibility and a few folk create amazing games and demos with it. But I'm now never gonna use it and will instead wish for future Mario Maker type construction sets.

That's fair. I still reckon we could make a fun competition on here similar to Mario Maker by giving working setups so the entrants only have to worry about the level design (placing scenery and what have you) rather than programming the gameplay. On the news channel Nintendo have been sharing various setups too which makes them easier to crib - it's just a shame you can't mix and match from various setups more easily.

If you just want to make levels I think it's relatively easy to make basic 3D platforming games, like the last tutorial takes you through. As long as you can hook up a camera to a person nodon and assign the controls, all you then need to worry about is placing obstacles.

Hey, Fisher, this is great! I like the bench and the street design... and I can see the ninja, too!

You've created a neat 3D-effect here, Fisher. It looks like those two tanks are moving down the road towards the robot.

Well done on making these, dude. Are you planning on designing any more games?

I genuinely want to player fisher games but I don't have the game.

That's a great setup, Fisher - I wonder if it's possible to interact with those objects?

Ah! I recall you talking about this game before and we couldn't remember what it was! It's cool that you have recreated it here. You're being very creative with Game Builder Garage :toot: .
