Fable II, but I probably haven't played anywhere near enough games this year. It's great though - I even liked the ending.

Smash Bros Brawl so far for me.

I've not played a lot of games this year, but my top 3 would be:

1. Fable II
2. Smash Bros Brawl
3. GTA IV

Not enough Rock Band love in here.
The amount of time spent on it, and the amount of fun I've had on it, with and without mates, makes it an easy choice.
Until Rock Band 2, probably.

Fallout 3 is up there, but i'd say Fable 2 is better.

Probably something like

1. Fable 2
2. Fallout 3
3. Bionic Commando Rearmed

Rock Band is definitely my game of the year so far. I'm sure Rock Band 2 will easily change that.

There have been plenty of great games throughout the year so it would be hard to think of where to place them. At least I know which game will be at the very bottom, though.

So far I'd say the following are in contention.

1. Valkyria Chronicles
2. Little Big Planet
3. Metal Gear Solid 4
4. Fable II
5. WipEout HD
6. Star Ocean First Departure

The wife says these are her games of the year:

1. Fable II
2. Civ Revolution
3. Lego Batman
4. Little Big Planet

Little Big Planet or Mirrors Edge may change my mind, but at the moment it has to be Fable 2.

I'm getting into Fallout 3 now...but its not a contender.

I was pretty disappointed with Fable 2.

Fallout 3 is looking much better. Haven't had much chance to play, but loving the couple of hours I've had.

I suspect Little Big Planet and Mirror's Edge to be contenders too.

So far, even as a MGS nut AND a former Pro Evo stalwart, I'd say FIFA09. It's just so complete it's crazy.

Amazing graphics, amazing commentary, amazing gameplay, amazing licenses, amazing online, amazing features. It's. Just. Brilliant.

Fable II by quite some distance. Then TWEWY. Then...I dunno. Loads of stuff in contention for third, and Mirror's Edge could yet break in.
