I’m still planning on watching this at some point, it’s not going to be a watch asap like Game of Thrones was for so long though. This is getting really good reviews too. Still not read Fire and Blood either :shifty:

GoT was ridiculous in how so many people watched it and enjoyed discussing it that it really became almost a staple point of conversation where I work (probably in a lot of places too) for so many years, just for it to almost disappear overnight. I really think I only talked about the last series a handful of times, I do wonder if this prequel series will recapture that essence or if people will be wisely slightly dubious of letting themselves almost get too involved in a fictional TV series again.

Probably won’t get the first episode watched till Thursday at the earliest, not even going to be worried about spoilers with how GoT ended either. Still struggling to get myself that excited for it really.

This is basically what I was about to post, football aside. I just can’t take him seriously.

It was a good ep I thought, nothing spectacular but didn't disappoint me. Matt Smith was very good.

Watched this with the wife earlier. I enjoyed it and Matt Smith’s character looks like he’ll be fun, even if his voice and face don’t fit for me.

Wife spent most of it on her ipad

Enjoyed the first episode. Can’t wait to see how this develops. Still can’t stand Matt Smith, which is good for the long run as I assume his character at least will get his comeuppance even if he doesn’t :shifty:

Also as with Kingk, my wife also spent most of the episode on her iPad

I hope they have an episode where they can somehow kill Bran over and over again :shifty: .

I don't care if it makes zero sense and doesn't fit into the story they should do it anyway.
He's kind of a time traveller so it sort of works maybe.

They did good. I definitely felt burned by GoT season 8 and didn’t really have much excitement for a spin-off. I said I’ll at least give the first few eps a shot. Although HotD started a little slow, it really picked up after Matt Smith was introduced. Very promising so far.

I really liked the book this was based on, but I was at the pre-Season 8 height of excitement where I was devouring as much lore as I could. It's good that it's getting promising early reviews so maybe it's time to get hurt again.
