That matters not to Sean Bean. He needs to be in all good fantasy series and films as he's just a requirement.

Not having him in it would be as ludicrous as having a fantasy series without Dwarves or magnificent beards.

But it would be inconsistent with the original series if he starred in the prequel and inevitably, because he's Sean Bean, dies.
