Well, as a man, I personally don't see what the big deal is about women having a fairer proportion of dialogue in television shows.

I genuinely can't tell if this is a joke post but for the sake of my sanity I'll say it is.

I'd say GoT actually has a decent level of female representation.

Cersei, Yara and Brienne all taking on roles normally associated with men in medieval fantasy and doing a better job than their male counterparts and then we have Arya saving the day by killing the Night King while Jon was hiding behind a rock.

These examples don't exactly make the lack of dialogue and misguided lines irrelevant but for the genre of show I'd say it was fairly good with its portrayal of women.

Yeah other than Tyrion, the main heroes of the show were all women.

Jon doesn’t count as a hero as he was a wet blanket who made nothing but terrible decisions.

I thought Margaery Tyrell and her gran were also good strong female characters.

Doesn't that make it worse?

Paraphrasing "Women took all the main "hero/focus/protagonist" roles associated with Men in this, and then still got only 25% of content"
So even when not the "focus", men become the focus?

Diana Rigg was strawberry floating brilliant. But neither she or Margaery were main characters.

What's more important to people - how important and memorable a character is, or how many lines they say? Since when did lines spoken mean anything? It's the actions and acting that are memorable.

The women in GoT are far more important and memorable than the majority of the men (except Ser Davos the Onion God, obviously), regardless of how many lines they spoke.

I hate the word “SHOOK!” but that’s a great video.

Listen to Brienne people, she knows everything.

Thats a really good point by Brienne, although watching the show it shows no sign of actually being from Bran’s POV and constantly looking back in time, but she was right about the person on the throne come the end of it all.

Agree, as long as a character is well developed, acted and casted I’m really not fussed if a male character has twice as many lines as a female character (or vice versa), despite having fewer lines the female character may still contribute more to the overall story than said male character which is more important than how many lines said person had in my opinion.

Its disappointing that they couldn’t finish this off over 12 episodes rather than 6 - it would have flowed better. Its just ridiculous how slow it was in the first 6 seasons and then all rushed in the final 2. A great series overall, but there have been better.

I hear they were offered two more seasons of about 10 episodes each. They said no. Basically they got tired to Game of Thrones and rushed to finish it so they could jump on the next Star Wars trilogy before that train left the station.
