And this is also GRRM's fault. For the 100th time.

He undoubtedly shares a portion of the blame, but I do feel a bit sorry for him. I know what I'm like when I feel pressured to get something done, imagine that x100000 with everyone in the world telling you to hurry up and wondering if you're going to die before you manage it.

I certainly don't blame him for the lacklustre writing in recent seasons and don't see how anyone could. The petitioners are pathetic but there's no denying D&D have dropped the ball to an unfathomable extent here.

Though I suspect the petitioners are upset with the most recent development in the story rather than any nuanced critique of the show or it's process.

EDIT: Also why are there still sooo many Unsullied in the new trailer.

Nothing is GRRM’s fault. He owes people nothing and it’s up to him whether he ever releases another book.

Daenerys is really the new Night King, she can just bring back her Unsullied and Dothraki when she’s running low on them.

Agreed tbh. The only reason I say he shares a portion is because he himself claims it. Can only imagine that all the media attention, the negativity, the petition etc. makes it the furthest thing from his mind and I can't blame him. Hopefully in a couple of years or so when this has all died down he can finish it in peace, as it would be a great tragedy otherwise - obviously I wouldn't want this at detriment to the mans happiness/mental health.

Let's not get carried away Moggy, if the books don't get finished then it's his fault. Doesn't mean we're owed anything, but it's still his fault if nothing happens.

If the spoilers had come out immediately after last week's ep I'd have read them.

As it is, I might as well watch this shitshow curl itself out in real-time.

Agreed.

I don't just think it's about his inaction either. The way he left A Dance with Dragons didn't really put the TV show in a good place. And a lot of the material in that book was less than stellar. Same for Feast. He shot his wad on book three.

We are not owed anything from him. But his inaction has contributed to this, whatever you look at it.

As everyone is talking about spoilers now, it seems like a good time to stop coming in here.

I'll see you after the finale.

They're only talking about the existence of spoilers, nothing's actually being spoilt.

Jon took the ring to Mordor. And there was much rejoicing.

The Tyrion/Daenrys fisting scene is going to be this series' saving grace.

Why didn't Jon use the dragons to fly to Mordor?

I would like a Westerosi scientist to explain how Jon and Dany manage to stay both conscious and unfrozen after flying at high altitude on the dragons?
