I hate the word “SHOOK!” but that’s a great video.

Listen to Brienne people, she knows everything.

Is that strawberry floating Slater???

EDIT;

"But what if it's Bran?"

"No, that doesn't make any sense."

I’m watching this making of The Last Watch.

I normally love these things but this is just really flat. There’s no narrative to it or even really any sense of excitement that your getting a peak behind the curtains. It’s just a bunch of random behind the scenes clips strung together.

It can't be easy as actors to perform something you think is hopelessly written :fp:  Conleth Hill knows his character better than anyone. To suddenly be killed off because of something he knows the character would never do (i.e. directly approach Jon Snow) must be so frustrating.

I'm sure the buckets of cash help soften the blow.

Sums it all up rather well. Well cut, too.

We're re-watching this now after it finished and strawberry float me, I think I hate season 5 more than either of the last 2 seasons. It's like a series of only B Plots.

Second and final part of Lindsay Ellis' critique of the final season is up...

It's great, as usual.

Oooh double post.

In light of DnD getting kicked off/'walking away from' Star Wars here's a thread of them giving a Q and A on GoT and admitting they were just making gooseberry fool up as they went along

Yea I’ve been reading that today.

The bit where they admitted to stripping out the fantasy elements to appeal to moms and NFL players. Imagine saying that when you’ve just been given Star Wars.

'Game of Thrones': Naomi Watts-Led Prequel Dead at HBO

The untitled Game of Thrones prequel from Jane Goldman is not moving forward at HBO.

Said to focus on the "Age of Heroes" and the first ever battle between man and White Walker, Goldman's prequel — which had filmed a pilot over the summer — will not be advancing to series, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. According to sources, Goldman e-mailed the cast to share the news.

According to sources, HBO execs screened the pilot over the summer and were not thrilled with the results. Instead of passing, however, they sent Goldman and Co. back into the editing room to make a slew of changes. But the revamped pilot failed to impress the execs either, leading them to pull the plug altogether.

According to multiple insiders, the pilot was “troubled” from the start, marred by budget overruns, numerous personnel issues and myriad creative differences.

Meanwhile, HBO is expected to move forward with another Game of Thrones prequel project, this one that would trace the glory days of House Targaryen. The project has earned an official pilot order at HBO. The spinoff is co-created by GoT book author George R.R. Martin and Colony creator Ryan J. Condal, and is set 300 years before the original Thrones series, chronicling “the beginning of the end for House Targaryen.” Martin’s companion book Fire & Blood serves as a template for the new series.

Let’s be honest, no one would “walk away” from a trilogy of Star Wars films, they were as good as fired I’d guess!

Kind of glad the prequel has been scrapped, it was basically just going to be a vaguely similar white walker storyline to what we got in A Game of Thrones. A Targaryen based one would be much better anyway, I’d love a Dance of Dragons based one personally.
