Must. Resist!

I really wish I'd started reading the books earlier. Only part way through the first one now. I would have bought it earlier, but was finding it difficult to find a copy without Sean Bean on the front. I've got nothing against him, but I really don't like film/tv tie in covers.

Really looking forward to this, going to resist the early online versions and enjoy it in eye-blistering HD on a big telly yeah 8-)

First episode tonight, cannot begin to describe how much I'm looking forward to this.

Well, lots and lots I suppose.

That wasn't actually too difficult.

This might be useful if you haven't read the books.

I think they'll have to older-up a lot of the characters to be honest. When you stop and think about it when reading the book, it's pretty unbelievable some of the things the younger characters achieve, but you accept it in book form in a way you just wouldn't be able to on the screen.

Appreciate the links though.

You can watch those on your tv via ps3 or 360 if you have those, I use a program called mkv2vob to convert them.

It was more general info for people reading the thread, not particulary directed at preezy.

So tempted to watch it now but will wait for the evening. I've not read the books but fastforwarding through the ad over 50 times on sky has got me hyped.

Fair enough, I guess it just looked that way with only Preezy replying. :D

Really enjoyed that, but I suspect it'll be some time before I get used to all the names of characters and places - a common problem of the fantasy genre in my opinion. Looking forward to the next episode anyway.
