I wonder if the high sparrow is going to be caught doing something really hypocritical like bumming someone and have to live by his own rules?

Margery to set that up and test the faith militants loyalty to their God, get his own followers to bring him down. I like it! Even if it I would prefer The Mountain just walked in there and tore his spine out and waved it around Predator style.

It's Game of Thrones, either the Mountain is going to slowly dismember him or he will be caught bumming boys.

Rocsteady wrote:Yeah fair points. Can't say I've been that into this season, beyond episode 6&7 I haven't really enjoyed it very much so haven't been paying a great deal of attention. The Hound's return's been the high point lately. Arya's story was dire/ utterly pointless.

Arya's storyline is one of those which hasn't really transferred to TV too well, I think it's mainly because the 10 episode per season format means the show writers have to cut a lot of details out of the 'minor' story arcs (Arya, Bran, Brienne) in order to focus on the major ones (Jon, Cersei, Jaime, Dany and Tyrion).

I edited out the b-word, happy now?

Nearly every other thread for shows based on books, comics or films allows the source material to be mentioned in some way without anyone whining about it so I fail to see why this thread should have it's own special rules.

If someone posts blatant spoilers then yes, I get it but if someone merely mentions the source material being slightly different then ffs grow up and deal with it.

Like I said earlier, I've never known fans who've experienced something and had it transfer to other media be so unable to help themselves talking about it.

I am a big fan of the novels of Phillip K Dick. When The Man in the High Castle was made into a TV series, I didn't feel the need to jump into threads or facebook and talk endlessly about the differences.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

ASOIAF readers have this neckbeard hipster thing going on where they have to let you know they were there before it was cool.

Personally I'm just waiting for Tom Bombadill to show up and wreck the mountain.

The threads for the following all contain comments about the source material:

Arrow
The Flash
The Walking Dead
Preacher
Daredevil
Marvel Cinematic Universe
The Expanse

I am kind of wondering why Jaqen just let Arya walk away and seemed happy about it; does their code prevent them from sending more than one assassin after someone? If you kill them do you get to go free? I am stuck with the impression that the writers are just using the mystery of the Faceless Men as a convenient cover for narrative convenience.

I think it all played out exactly like Jaqen expected/hoped.
