The pacing was completely different as they did not have a book to base the season off. Old George has written himself into a corner which is why we may never see book 6, and I agree with Moggy without a book the series is just going to go all Hollywood, and Danny and Jon will fly off into the sunset together. The end

The perfect Hollywood ending, a nephew porking his aunt. :datass:

I think it's all very convenient that just as Game of Thrones is ending a new Version of Star Trek TNG is starting.

I think it's pretty obvious that the last scene of the show will be Picard leaving the Holodeck and saying "End program!".

George Martin is known as being a huge, huge Star Trek fan after all as why else would he go to Sci-fi conventions and he's only delaying his books so he can do some amazing crossover stuff with the new show where the characters escape the holodeck.

I’m getting Moggy a signed photo of Walder Frey. It will say “To Moggy, keep trimming your banana split hairs!”

I'm more pissed about the show runners refusing ideas than the faster pacing. (George being quoted as saying he had enough material for many more seasons.) Unless... are the two related somehow?

Maybe he can put them in the books now :shifty: .

I'm expecting a release by 2021 to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the release of book 1.

Met David Bradley yesterday. Top bloke and a real gentleman.

I’ve got a video on my phone of him saying
“But you didn’t kill all the Starks did you?
Leave one wolf alive and the sheep are never safe!”

It was immense!

I wonder if we’ll even get an actual trailer for season 8, HBO must know the final season needs next to no advertising to get the hype levels really going, also I’d be weary of them actually spoiling stuff considering it’s only a 6 episode season.

Wonder if the statues of them are just them being cryptic or weather at least one of the 3 won’t make the end of the season, I do expect one of them to die, no idea which though mind

I was only thinking this the other day for some reason that we either won’t get a proper trailer or it may happen a week or two before the show actually airs.
