Those guys at the library really are a bunch of worthless twats and Sam made the right choice.

One of them will be turned into a white walker and brought back.

Maybe if it's the Hound we can get an epic battle between Undead White Hound and Zombie Mountain?

They are going to capture a Wight. One of the Undead. Not a white walker. The white walkers are any remaining whitewalkers from the original Long Night with the addition of any sons of Craster who are old enough -having been changed by the Night King.
Anyone changed by the walkers becomes a wight or zombie. Not a white walker.

Plus if they even managed to get one back what's it gonna prove to Cersi

Jon: "Behold! Proof of the undead threat"
Cersi: "And?"
Jon: "The undead! They are among us! Winter is coming"
Cersa: "And?"
Jon: "It's an undead! A creature that proves beyond doubt my story is true! You can see with your eyes...the dead...WALK"
Cersi: "Have you met Ser FrankenMountain?"

Why did Dany not have anyone fish Jamie and Bronn out of the rivPLOT ARMOUR

Why is highly skilled blacksmith Gendry buggering off beyond the wall instead of helping with making the Dragonglass weapons?

Why did Davos and Tyrion enter and leave Kings Landing in broad daylight?

Why did Tyrion not bother hiding when he saw the guards on the beach?

Dany would have been more concerned with tending to Drogon. She doesn't know Jaime by sight and Tyrion (the only person who could) would not have shopped him.

It's obsidian so a stone mason would be more suitable.

Davos used a lesser known cove that he said was not regularly patrolled.

He would have had to go back up the path so thought it better just to try and walk past in a low key fashion.

They are all silly things but easy to ignore while watching as they are not too ridiculous.

Gendry wouldn't be much use with Dragonglass though, making weapons from metal is a completely different skill to obsidian.

Was waiting to see if it was Denster or Hexx that would reply first with a straight face.

Don't you have enough threads to troll, Maf?

Or are you just killing time until the Last of Us 2 is released?

After reading that post about the differences between wights/white walkers, am I right in thinking that the former originally had a different appearance in the show? I'm thinking specifically of Season 1 and stuff like the opening scenes with Royce and those two men.

I have an image of them which is basically they are thin, spindly, sharp icicle-like men, completely white and with blue eyes. Not just pale blue old men with white hair.

This may have been how I imagined them after reading the Prologue of the first book, mind. I do tend to just skip chunks of description.

In my head, Denster's got long, flowing blonde hair, a rippling six pack and honestly finds the pace of this season to be a little jarring and not to his tastes.

I assume he got his marriage annulled and married Jon's mum, meaning Jon isn't a bastard.

Yeah she read that Rhaegar got an annulment and married somebody else. That would be Jon's mum, meaning he isn't a bastard and is the legitimate heir to the Targaryan throne.

They are legitimate questions that we need answers to.

His marriage to Elia Martell was annulled. Leaving him free to marry Lyanna Stark. That would make Jon legitimate and ergo the rightful heir to the Iron throne. Superseding Dany's claim. This is backed up by the Kingsguard (Ser Arthur Dayne and Ser Gerold Hightower) being there to protect the infant Jon - not on Dragonstone protecting Viserion and the infant Daenerys.
