I'll be pissed if Tormund dies. Don't think they'd kill Jon and resurrect him again. I think Thoros or Jorah are the most likely to die, especially the latter after his reunion with Dany and Tyrion giving him the coin. Then again, the whole greyscale curing plot line would feel a bit redundant if that happened.

Onion guy to die next as he pretty much got his own episode. The only thing missing was him declaring it's his last day on the force.

Would you rather they spent 3 seasons showing them walking? It might have taken weeks/months, we just don't need to see it.

The really inconsistent thing is how slow the White Walker army is. At the length of time it's taking them to walk to the wall, they really don't seem a threat, you could outpace them by barely moving yourself.

It used to take 3 seasons.

And now with an end date in sight they've decided we don't need to see the actual traveling over 30 episodes.

They've written themselves into a corner so they're breaking continuity now.

It's a bad show really.

At hardhome their army had no giants -and the only giant we see is wun wun who leaves to fight at winterfell. When they attack the tree that contains Bran and the TER they again have no giants.

Then at the beginning of this season we see they have 2-3 giants. They didn't have them when they attacked so must have acquired them from somewhere. As the tree is in the far north it's a considerable distance for an army on foot to travel especially when they've clearly made detours.

As for Jon travelling to eastwatch - yeah it's quick but it's not that far by ship from Dragonstone to Eastwatch. It's a much shorter journey than Euron's leap from kings landing to Casterley rock.

Really enjoyed that episode, thought it was well paced and engaging throughout. Favourite one so far.

Didn't the wildlings have several giants at Hardhome who I assume got converted to the cold side? I don't remember. I remember several giants were in the initial attack on castle black by the wildlings.

Anyway on the episode, I enjoyed it. It felt more like a traditional episode with more character build. With the exception that it was as fast paced as normal for this season, for obvious reasons.

Love the rag tag team going beyond the wall, got the vibe of the start of an RPG where loads of random folk end up travelling together to beat a big bad.

Seems like a terrible idea risking all their lives to steal a whitewalker to show Cersei? Seeeeee dey real, seeeeee.

Yea that whole aspect of the plot seems totally dumb to be honest.

This is Cersei we're talking about. She literally blew up half the city for talking gooseberry fool, but she's going to join forces with her sworn enemy to kill zombies?

She literally employs zombies as her personal nun-raper. This is not a convincing argument for her.

It is an absurd plot point. I wonder if that's one they had to come up with themselves or whether JRR Martin told them.

If it's Martin, then everyone will come say how great it is. If it's the writers acting alone, then everyone will say how stupid it is and how it's an example of how bad the writing got.

It is ridiculous anyway you look at it though.

Enjoying how quickly everything has been moving along though don't get the gripes on it, always pissed me off took Dany a season to get anywhere. Every episode has been exciting as strawberry float.

"But it's not realistic," neither is a crippled boy controlling the mind of a crow 10,000 ft in the air, m8.

Don't get excited, it's only a long episode because they have listened to the complaints about travelling time.

No, its a strawberry floating stupid idea regardless of who came up with it.

If they were taking a wight to the citadel to show the Archmaester then it would make more sense. Sam was saying that people would be more likely to listen to the maesters about the white walkers being real but as he couldn't prove it they ignored him.

It'll be 30 minutes of Bran flashbacks showing what the Night king has been up to for 5 weeks.

Nah, it'll only take a few seconds to show him moaning that "those human banana splits can teleport but we've got to walk!".
