I have a theory about how they are all getting to these places so fast. It's like when you first play skyrim you have to trek everywhere but once you've been there you can fast travel like a pro. Clearly what's happening here
**Edit: also explains why the army of the undead are taking so long because they've never been to these places so they can't fast travel.
It'd be great if they were trolling us and only showing one army you make us think this, then when is ask going to kick off reports come in of several attacks from the south and they've snuck around somehow.

Maybe the White Walkers have been waiting for something that'll help them get past the Wall, and perhaps they've been roaming the land up there to recruit as many of the dead as possible before heading south.
Does an army of the dead think tactically like that? I would presume they have a hive mind wired to eat brains and just travel in the direction of the most brains i.e south of the wall.
They're going to have to come up with a REALLY good reason why they aren't just taking dragons up there and melting the strawberry floaters right now, or at least trying. Don't want another OMFG Y DIDN'T DA EAGLS JUS FLY THE RING TO MOAR DOOR PMSL situation.

Well the only person capable of controlling the dragons is Dany, and she won't go north with one until the war with Cersei ceases. So that is the explanation. Politics.
I could be wrong but after hardhome did the white walkers not go to that tree where bran was and kill the children of the forest and hodor? We don't know where that was, could have been far away.

Yes they did and yes it's strawberry floating miles from hardhome.
Glad someone answered the dragons flying north question.
As for the eagles carrying the ring in Lotr. Can we please not have that argument again.
