That was amazing, I thought tyrion would be sacrificed as part of the deal for cersei to join the fight, glad I was totally wrong.

I expected littlejon to be whispering in the ear of whomever was on the throne when it all finished, totally wrong again, that was very satisfying indeed.

I did think at the end that jamie was going to be murdered, just to cement how ruthless and evil she really is. Like the awesome bad ass he is though, he strawberry floats off alone to keep his word. If I was living in that world with no tv or any real excitement I'd be pumping my sister too if she looked like that :toot:

How super awesome again was the hound, strawberry float off lol.

Tense as gooseberry fool ending, knowing we'll probably be waiting the best part of two years to see it's continuation and that is going to be strawberry floating hard.

It gives me a good reason though not to save up,travel to America and find myself a gun to blow my brains out(depression forum nod 8-) ), because no strawberry floating way am I missing that. It's the best show ever made(breaking bad, amazing as it was, comes in second for me) and I'll be surprised if I ever watch anything again that's anywhere near as good unfortunately.

She gave the nod, that to me signalled kill him, and he lacks emotion so he wouldn't have hesitated. Seemed the one dodgy bit to me,but what do I know lol, the mountain maybe is thoughtful and emotional off screen, writing poetry and doing water colour paintings of lakes on his days off.

Me and you,outside now :x

You'll be telling me that home and away was better than neighbours next :slol:

Great shows perhaps, but the work that goes into making one episode of game of thrones is incredible. That's why it's just untouchable in my eyes.

We all have bum holes though.

Massively anticlimactic, that. Needed at least another ten minutes of actual action at the end. Worst season so far, only one or two decent episodes.

It was only ever a bluff though as she still loves Jamie. Im assuming she had pre arranged the "bluff" with the mountain so he wouldn't actually follow through.

Given how fast paced this season has been, this felt like a return to the classic scheming and plotting of earlier seasons. Really enjoyed it even though most of what happened was fairly predictable. But like Denny has said we have had 6 seasons of build
Up so it's only logical they will start closing off story arcs as we head to final battle for westeros.

The leftovers

The Leftovers was the best thing on TV this year. Twin Peaks is a strong runner-up.

Funny Cersei remarked that no one ever walked away from her just before that exact thing happened.

Levelling of the wall made sense as Jaime's defection looked to seriously tip the balance.

Overall, not as good as last season, but still great :)

Should I bother with it if the first series bored the pants off me?

Amazing episode. Until the end, that was pure GoT, just fantastic storytelling, driving the story along at a perfect pace with twist and turns for good measure.

As much as a spectacle it is, I really give no gooseberry fools about the army of the dead. Give me John/Danerys Vs Cersai any day of the week.

I agree, I wish the dead would just strawberry float off back to 'the Walking Dead' and be gooseberry fool over there instead.

Worst season?

Jesus.

Well, I've made the point about different opinions in this thread. So moving on.
The interesting thing is how long the wait is till the final season.
I still think late summer/early autumn so September 2018.
They start filming in October I believe.
For me this season has been about the big spectacles, of course but also the moments of exposition and not so much character development as character and story arc realisation and in some cases termination.

Yes Little fingers death was fairly obvious but not many people in here called it till after it happened. It was set up as yet another example of Baelish fiendishness and manipulation yet they subverted that in the final moment. The romance between Jon and Dany was well handled and some of the continuing friendships, tentative reunions and new friendships as well as some truly touching moments.
Those of characters gaining closure, grieving or just achieving a little absolution was well done and well acted. I really loved Jon and Theon's chat. There was a lot of pain and rawness there but I think they both felt better for it.
I've loved it whilst accepting some flaws of plot and the teleporting. Really truly loved it. But a big part of that is due to the books and that for the last two seasons we've been as surprised as those who haven't read them.
This season has contained so many strawberry float yeah moments of stunning spectacle and genuinely moving and satisfying payoff that I've just thoroughly enjoyed it - more than any other season. That is based on the hard work and excellence of the previous ones in setting up everything.
I just hope they don't leak the bloody scripts again for next season. That was a real shame.
