I'm looking to buy a copy of Freeloader on GameCube to play a couple of import games that I like the look of but was wondering one thing, would I need a second memory card or could I just use the one I'm already using?

The games will save fine on the memory card that you have, but it's recommended you get another for the imported games as there is a tendency for corruption.

In my experience:
US import games: OK to share memory card space with EU games
Japanese import games: big no-no
You'll need a separate card for any Japanese games as these require a different formatting to the one used by UK / US GC games, and 'formatting' the memory card so it will save Jap game files will erase any data saved to the card in the UK / US format.

Exactly that. I remember importing the US version of Ikaruga, which could save on the same memory card as my EU games.
Japanese Donkey Konga needed its own memory card, however.

Thanks for the advice people. I had a feeling I'd have to get a second memory card.
