Gamecube Memory cards

Been expanding my Gamecube back catalogue recently, but unfortunately my two 20 year old cards have long been full. I'm in the market now for new ones, anyone got any advice? Like where's my best bet for buying them? How many blocks? And are there any third party ones that are decent?

Nintendo did massive official ones at the end id look for those if possible. I never had a single GameCube card official or unofficial go funny though

eBay seem to have pre-owned official 251 block cards for around £10-£15

I would go for the official 1019 block card if you can find it.

If you happen to have a Wii you can use GCMM to back up your saves onto an SD card and rotate the saves you need on and off your existing cards.

Unlike 3rd party controllers, 3rd party memory cards seem to be generally okay. Like Kerr I've not had an unofficial one go bad on me. Did have one that said it was corrupted but it continued working fine anyway. So I'd say get one cheap off of ebay or something, but obviously look at feedback and feedback scores or reviews etc.

Alternatively you can get Wiis dirt cheap and softmod them extremely easily. Won't have to worry about memory cards anymore after that.

I already have a softmodded Wii so I think I'll look into the SD card options (or probably third party cards); thanks guys
