This gameplay looks genuinely gooseberry fool. Graphically stunning but fun as watching paint dry.

I thought as much from last years E3 but it seems like the game is just walking point to point delivering stuff with mad story nonsense mixed in.

It really didn’t look very good just then.

This is going to be the game that finally proves what a lot of us knew already: Kojima works best under close supervision and with constraints.

I enjoyed that; a good spread of games and cool interviews. It was lovely to see some Death Stranding story and gameplay - it certainly comes across as being very unusual and quirky. It's good to see in an age where few chances are taken.

I feel that it's exciting to see a big budget title as potentially off-the-wall as this. It definitely looks unusual and, for me, the atmosphere will be as big a part of the experience as the gameplay. We've seen a tiny portion of the game; I feel it's a little sharp to dismiss it but, hey, perspectives vary.

Sure, but games have never been more innovative than they are now and that innovation isn't coming from the big boys.

I posted in this forum earlier this afternoon that I am finding that indie games are often becoming far more appealing - in both enjoyment and financial terms - to me than the bigger games nowdays.

Even so, I would not say that there are not exceptions and, for me, Death Stranding stands as an unusual, quirky and interesting title that I'm keen to see more of. As ever, individual taste may provoke different reactions in others.

Looks like Ubi weren't impressed with Death Stranding either.
