I'd be interested in hearing their opinion on these big games if their reviews weren't a good few weeks too late. This always seems to be the case with gamesTM.

I'm still waiting to see whether Half Life 2 is worth a purchase.

Yes, I know it got a 10...

It did, they just gave the score much later.

Great issue especially as they come out and say what everyone is thinking about Nintendo in the Animal Crossing review

About time someone had the balls to tell it like it is.

Well, it's only out a week after Edge and features a lot of the same games. Plus it has quite a few reviews of games I've not seen in other mags.

Nice to see Symphonia: Dawn of the New World seems to be a fairly safe, solid 6/10 game. It had the potential to go disastrously wrong, so I'll take the above-average/decent enough reviews and be happy with a sub-Vesperia piece of fan-service...if it gets a european release.

Do GamesTM mention a release date for europe? TBA? 2009?

Suprised by the P4 & FM09 scores.

Not suprised with POP scoring an 8. A games that scores 5 in EDGE is bound to get an 8 in GamesTM.

Funny, I thought pretty much every review of Animal Crossing criticized it for not doing enough new.

Is the review up anywhere as I'd like to read it, Animal Crossing has definitely had me more angry at Nintendo than any other game.

I said, really?

I meant, really?

Really?

Yes, it got 7/10.

Yes, but...really?

I can see this going on for a while, maybe I should be clearer. Is it really worth that 7?

Is it only marginally worse than Ecclesia?

THAT'S NOT HOW REVIEW SCORES WORK! :fp:

During what has to be one of Nintendo's worst christmases on record, it has become abundantly clear that the big money lies not with the company's loyal supporters but with its new crowd of potentially fair-weather friends......Nintendo is more than happy to entertain those (new) paying customers while turning a blind eye to others

Spot on.

Interesting Persona 4 score. I shall have to pick it up and see what they say. It seems low for the majesty that is Persona

Thing is, it won't be their worst Christmas on record. It'll be their best. My work is pretty much constantly selling out of DSs, and is running low on Wiis. Mario Kart Wii and extra steering wheels are flying off the shelves as fast as they get put out. New Super Mario Bros. is doing the numbers on DS, as are both versions of "The Brain Training" and Mario Kart DS. Nintendo must also be making a tidy amount from Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. Despite their lukewarm reception WiiMusic and Animal Crossing are doing better than the majority of new PS3 and 360 titles. That doesn't even account for licenced products from third parties.

Nintendo things that are not selling this Christmas, when you might expect them to: Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Twilight Princess (we've not had any new copies in ages), Disaster: Day of Crisis and Wii Points Cards.

Are there any subscription offers on gamesTM at the moment? I'm thinking of cancelling my Edge subs and going back to this.

Is Prince of Persia good then? It's £17.99 on play at the moment.

Definitely worth it at that price.
