Anyone own any gaming relating gear? I kinda like the idea of showing off being a gamer but not in an obvious way, like a big Mario print shirt. There used to be that company, Insert Coin that did more subtle designs (just checked, they're still going!). I'm sure Uniqlo do some gaming lines too. Plus I saw someone in an Umbrella Corporation facemask the other day, which was a bit inappropriate but still kinda cool.

Oh and I made this thread to also pimp this line of Mario Kart pyjamas that my other half worked on, buy some for your family!

I find that standing around in jogging bottoms stinking of piss and swigging from a can of Monster energy drink lets people know that I'm a gamer perfectly well.

I still make ~£30 a month from the T-shirts I put on redbubble when I was at uni (it's steadily decreasing, at peak in my third year when I was actively creating new designs I was averaging ~£50 with a big spike for Christmas - that spike is much less pronounced now). So I have a vested interest in gaming releated clothes

More subtle is definitely my preference. My favourites of what I own are the official store version of this Splatoon shirt (couldn't find an image of the version sold on the store but it's the same black graphic on white essentially):

This Celeste shirt:

This Celeste hoodie, although it was only available at the time in small so it's a little too small for me as I really need a medium, so I haven't worn it much:

Image

I have these vans too, but haven't worn them in a while as one of them got caked in mud when I was canal boating and I haven't cleaned them properly:

Of my own designs, a couple are actually licenced (lol) and this darkest dungeon design got runner up in their design competition (won me 50 or 100 dollars I think) and is one of my best selling. Funnily enough I've still not played Darkest Dungeon although my girlfriend has played it a lot!

Those Mario Kart pyjamas are cool although I'd definitely say they work better as kids than adults!

I've got that Splatoon t-shirt as well. Most of my gaming stuff is from Uniqlo, off the top of my head:

MGS3 & MGS Peace Walker tees from the 25th anniversary range
Monster Hunter X one from the 10th anniversary range
3 Overwatch D.Va tees from the Blizzard collection
2 Monster Hunter tees from the 15th anniversary range

I've got two pairs of those Nintendo Vans, the NES ones and the black & white Mario villains ones. Other t-shirts:

Retro SNES logo
Retro PS1 logo
Jigglypuff one from Insert Coin
Sonic one I got years ago

I think I’ve got two games-related t-shirts. Metal Gear Solid, which came in the original collector’s edition, and a zombie Elvis themed one that was an in-store freebie with one of the Dead Rising games. Like hell am I ever going to wear them, though.

I wear my Blastoise T-shirt all the time. It ended up being a pretty good pick up from Game.

Not strictly gaming, but I'd pick up one of these if it weren't for the crap font on the back.

A few Splatoon, Mario and Street Fighter tees from Uniqlo, some Pokémon tees + long sleeve shirts, an MGS5 baseball jacket, a Majima stajun jacket and a Persona 5 hoodie from Insert Coin.

There's probably more, but I can't think of any of the top of my head. Which probably says a lot about my spending habits. :slol:

The Sega UK store is a goldmine of retro gaming tshirts and other things. I have 2x Alex Kidd, Jet Set Radio and Shenmue tshirts I wear all the time. I also got an FX300 WipEout one from Amazon. I'm still in the market for a Golden Axe and Streets of Rage one.

I get stopped all the time wearing the Alex Kidd one by strangers who say it was their favourite game as a kid. (Normally by people calling Alex THE Kidd despite the spelling being on my chest!) I see vintage gaming tshirts as our generations vintage band tshirts.

I'd never wear a Nintendo one though as they are too current. Sega have a nice 1990's retro cool Nintendo just never had.

So it's obviously not ok that people wear Ramones t-shirts without knowing who the Ramones are, but is it ok to wear an Atari t-shirt if you never owned an Atari but you did watch Blade Runner?

Yes it's a Psygnosis t shirt. You've probably never heard of them.

I don't own any gaming clothing. Years ago I had an Atari logo t-shirt and I really liked it; but it was before that was "retro cool" and everyone just wondered why I was wearing an Atari t-shirt.

I would like to wear some gaming clothing and, personally, I'd veer towards subtle stuff; faint or obscure logos / graphics and the like.

Thinking about it, I'd love to design some stuff like this. I'd be worried about copyright issues though. I guess I could just be "inspired" by stuff and vary it a little.

The only gaming related clothing I have is a T-Shirt I got when I bought the 3DS as part of the ambassadors program.
It's got a picture of Robby the Robot from the NES on it and I wear it at work.

I can't go with 1980's videogames. I'd just feel like Wade Watts from Ready Player One and that guy is an ass.

Apart from the occasional Pokemon design from Uniqlo, i prefer to steer clear of gaming related clothing as it's really not my scene.

God I'm tempted to get those matching Nidoran masks for me and the wife, but $51 with shipping is absurd :dread:

Where has this place been all my life

I have a Half-Life 2 t-shirt with the guy getting hit by the toilet. I also have an EA Sports woolly hat from when I preordered FIFA 2001. I never wear them anymore though, the shirt's too big/faded and I don't want to wear an EA hat.

On the subject of 80s t-shirts, I used to have an Atari and Spectrum shirt from Camden Market, but then I did play both of those as a kid and still own them now so I think I'm allowed to wear them :shifty:
