I was wondering what people's longest ever gaming sessions/Binges were?

We're talking from turning the game on to powering off. Toilet breaks and pauses for dinner do not count as breaks!

Easter 2002 during my gap year I had broken my arm. My parents and brother and sister had gone away for a long 6-day weekend. I did the shopping, brought my Dreamcast downstairs and then holed up in the living room for 3 days straight playing Phantasy Star Online with only breaks for the toilet and for food.

Not one of my proudest moments but the weather was pretty crap and my mates were all away too. I think I'd just broken up with a girlfriend at that point as well so it helped ease the pain.

Finished Halo 2 in a single session on release day back in uni. Rented it, completed it, took it back all on that one day. Probably 10/11 hours straight.

Although I hugely enjoy videogames, I've never been one for extended sessions without having a break (no fun etc). Earlier this year I started building a new camp in Fallout 76 and suddenly it was coming up to 3am; I'd played for around seven hours straight and that's probably my longest-ever gaming session.

I honestly couldn’t tell you. One that comes to mind was an epic Friday night binge on Gears of War that began after school at 4pm and finished at more or less first light the next morning. Did the same with Halo during that glorious three month gap between finishing school and starting uni.

When I'm home alone and my wife is working a shift, I'll usually get an eight hour session in and I love it.

When Skyward Sword came out, I played it for something like 22 hours straight. It was definitely a different morning when I stopped. :slol:

I'm pretty sure I spent an entire weekend playing morrowind on my pc once, eating every meal at my bedroom desk and having as little sleep as I could get away with at the time. Probably about 12 hours.

Played The Last of Us in a single sitting (with one break for dinner when it crashed and I had to redo a little progress). Started at 5pm day of release and finished at 7am the next day.

No idea how long but I remember a couple,

Skyrim - about a month after release I felt awful, phoned in sick and just played Skyrim on and off for a lot of the day.

Pokémon - this is a multiple offender! Quite often when a new Pokémon game had come out I’d get home from school on a Friday, get my homework blitzed out and then just crack on with the latest game, most memorably was with Pokémon Gold where I’d regularly still be playing into the early hours, gets few hours sleep and then load it up again.

Most recently it’s probably been New Horizons in its first month of release when you had loads of bugs and fish to get, working to get your rating up and just enjoying the new game :toot:

I once took a day off work to play Mass Effect 3 on launch, basically played it for three days straight and finished it on Sunday evening. Even bought in pot noodles and snacks so I didn’t need to leave my room.

And then I got THAT strawberry floating ENDING.

I also remember playing Plants Vs Zombies until the sun came up, gooseberry fool that was addictive.

I glued myself to the bed for 4 days to play Tales of Symphonia from start to end back in the day. Wouldn't do that kind of thing again but it was a good time.

Used to sink in around 10 or so hours in a single sitting while playing Monster Hunter Freedom 2/Unite on PSP. But that was usually on weekends when I'd have my friend over. Summer holidays during the GBA and early DS era also had weeks where I'd be playing all day. But those weren't as extreme. Good times.

I’m not one for pouring too much time into gaming in one hit, on my own probably around 3/4 hours is the longest session I have had.

Multiplayer with friends in the same room, we have done all nighters on things like COD 2 on 360 back in the day.

I remember when Civ IV came out, I must have had a day off school for some reason because I remember playing it for petty much the whole day solid without a break. I got up, came downstairs to the computer in my pyjamas, and was still sitting there when my parents got home from work that evening. I'm not sure I even stopped up eat all day

Couldn't do that nowadays. On the rate occasion I'm able to spend more than an hour or two straight on a game, I start to feel like I really ought to be getting on with something else before my subconscious gives me grief about wasting my time.

Edit: Oh yeah, there was also one time when I had swine flu, and was just sat in bed feeling awful for about a week, and I played through all of Uncharted 2 in about 2 days.
