Mate, you're talking to an actor pretending to be a dead Prime Minister who had to contend with the invasion of Britain and fascist control of most of Western Europe. You're getting annoyed at some footballers kneeling before a match and a statue in Bristol being removed.

Though as others have said, Churchill being a salve for all modern social ills is a weird one, as they mention that even the people of 1945 didn't want him to continuing governing.

Absolutely true to form for the English: after several years of Attlee's Labour building a welfare system, Churchill was re-elected (despite getting fewer votes than Attlee) on the basis that they'd stop the ongoing planned nationalising of resources.

Yep, nobody liked him and it was only the war that kept him in power. As soon as it was over he was voted out
