Escape took 10-15 mins. There were 3 of us (all humans).

I had no idea what it was and just ran everywhere barely stopping to shoot anything. Reach the exit, close the door. End.

No teamwork at all

Just tried and had the same problem.

Has not worked since, what a launch, 12 days and counting :fp:

BTW, there's a couple of easy reward point challanges worth 350 points in total on the Rewards App for Gears 5.

Gears Pop seems to be a little easier since the last update on my phone. Managed to hit 1800 Cogs so far.

Ive tried abit of escape. Levelled up Emile abit. Probably not a good character pick, better for horde. Its intense, and the map creator might be interesting but it looses the horde strategy fro some kind of frantic dash. Theres also no where near enough ammo. They really need to sort that out.

Is it even worth downloading the high-res texture pack if I'll only be playing this on a 970?

IGN - 9

To be clear, it’s not surprising at all that Gears 5 is an excellent third-person action game. This iconic series has never really had a misfire, even when changing hands from original developer Epic to The Coalition, and the hot streak remains unbroken. What was unexpected is just how effectively it doubles down on story with a character-focused, consequence-filled tale that plays to one of the franchise’s most underappreciated strengths and backs it up with fun, welcome additions to both its gameplay formula and flow. And that’s just the campaign: add in a heavy-hitting multiplayer lineup of Versus, Versus Arcade, Horde, and Escape and it makes Gears 5 one of the best and most versatile action-game packages in recent memory.

Yep, even with everything on High or above you'll be getting a better image than either the base Xbone or the X. Download it, if it causes any performance problems then you simply uninstall it from the graphics options screen.

I managed to get a good few more hours in on this today and have been ploughing through Act 2.

What a great game this is! I love GOW anyway, to be honest, but this is just the very best of what I always liked about it, plus a load of new stuff that all works as far as I'm concerned.

And it looks quite fantastic, too.

And included with GamePass!

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

I'm working my way through Act 3 and apart from the shady online laggy nonsense it hasn't disappointed. Act 2 is a serious love letter to Gears of War 2

Definitely a good looking game, I'd carry on my game but I really need sleep :x

Even though it’s legitimate, I can’t help feeling a little guilty that I didn’t directly pay for this brilliant game.

I'm not sure why.
Microsoft have plenty of money and have made the decision that having subscription payments for the games they make is more lucrative than having people pay normally for those games. It saves you money (especially if you took advantage of the cheap sub offers) and Microsoft can brag about having a gazillion subscribers that seems to excite the shareholders so everyone wins.

I will get to this soon. I liked 4, though the game picked up after the second chapter.

I do miss the days of Gears 1 with peeps for Gamesradar and the multiplayer sessions. Oh, those host shotguns.

This sold a 1/4 of what Gears 4 sold at retail in the UK 1st week. "Digital Download and Game Pass are the majority by far." Probably get official PR tomorrow.
