Don’t know if this is store specific of if this is the new norm nationwide.

I guess sales have got to the point it’s no longer worth stocking. Take A Break supremacy.

I've been looking for the latest Retrogamer for about a week, not stocked in WHSmiths, Morrisons, Tesco, or Sainsbury's.

What's a boy to do?

Walked into a WHSmiths last week and the had the new Retro Gamer and a few other retro gamer mags, one about the SNES another on the NES and one or two more.

My oldest nephew (13) has told me that the new Xbox console will be out soon and that it won't be backwards compatible. He heard this at school today. #playgroundinsiderknowledge

I finished Plague a Tale of Innocence at the weekend has anyone played this. Fantastic game - before I got my list Nintendo Switch library this would have by far been my game of the year.

I started my first playthrough of Zelda BOTW.

When I'm in the right mood I want to do a complete run through in one go of a cool indie game called GRIS which is about bereavement and grief (like all the other indie games). Just watched the trailler the music is very goosebumpy

I saw that plague game on steam and was tempted but didn't know enough about it to spend my hard earned money on it. It looks beautiful. What sort of game is it? Wasnt sure if it was purely adventure or if there was combat etc.

Personnally I can't recommend Plague enough. There is combat but it's an action adventure horror puzzle game more about stealth. I thought this was going to be a game I would enjoy solely for the story and the story and characters are the best bit of it. It's a linear game (so not open world) - but it's very detailed and in the later stages of the game the combat and stealth are quite tricky and the puzzles take a bit of thought to - the final boss was defintely a challenge and there are some cool game mechanics which take a bit of skill.

Its set in 12th Century France during a Plague and you escaping the Inquisition there is some Da Vinci code like conspiracy stuff in there too- the horror elements are the most chilling I've seen in a game.

If this is the kind of game you are into I would definitely get it.

The Guardian did quite a nice write up of it here: https://www.theguardian.com/games/2019/ ... view-asobo

The question might be be better asked here, it's related to PS4 games I got via PS+...

Despite being not on PS+ I'm still able to play Contrast, I'm pretty sure I didn't buy the game at all and only got it via PS+... So why am I able to play the said game?

I checked my ps+ collection and only Doki Doki or something has ps+ lock icon...?

Deleted because I think my original post is not true. I'm just playing the wrong games.

Guess nobody has idea why, I managed to finish Contrast in one sitting... I'm baffled why I can play it without being on sub.

But yeah, I've been playing too much of Final Fantasy XIV so I'm just grateful that I actually end up wanting to play other games, rather than "oh... I SHOULD play these games..."

Sub? You mean PS+?

I know it was a plus title very early on on PS4 first month or 2.

Yeah, PS+. I guess it's sub since you do need it for online games...but aye.

I'm just not sure why I can play through whole of Contrast without being active PS+. Surely it'd lock me out of the game until I either renew, or buy the game?

...and I was able to play Gone Home, despite not having bought it. I got it via PS+.

Am I missing something? I thought when you're not on sub you can't play them anymore until you resub.

That should be the case. Very strange. Maybe you are getting the flip side of my Karma Coin, where I cannot download any Xbox One 360 back compat games that land on games with gold despite having a 3 year sub.

That's weird, is your current Xbox One primary console? I've no idea if you had Xbox One before that one.

All I can think of is that something's up with permissions and you'd have to do something to get it to play these 360 games you got via games with gold. (Also it's worth to mention that once you get them via games with gold you keep 360 games forever regardless of sub or not)

It's nice to see that, amidst the deluge of payment-focussed larger games, there are a few "completed", "full" games released. This may be surprising, but arise Borderlands 3, Code Vein and Focus Interactive!

Its my one and only XB1 console. I contacted customer service, they said it was a regional variation between my gold sub and gamepass (before they were merged in to ultimate) and the problem would sort itself out. It did not, so i have just given up on the 360 games. Its not like i was starved of games to be fair.....

Thanks for the advice though.
