Seeing rumours (probably again ) that Aspyr are working on a remake for KOTOR, this feels like a Paper Mario TTYD type remake though, wanted for ages but just hasn’t happened (and in the case of TTYD, won’t happen ) yet.

And watch it miss out on the Xbox platforms again, despite it being a full-on remake bringing cut content back, introducing new features, and completely redone visual and audio work to bring it properly into the next generation.

In other news, not that anyone here but me cares, the new Farming Simulator is set to be revealed tomorrow. Should be great to see what changes are coming.

And here we go. Seasons have been announced for the new game, so players can finally farm in winter. There's a lot of engine improvements and optimatisations being implemented for a more realistic experience, too. I'm interested to see more of it, and I'll certainly be getting it when it releases. I also like how the map from 19's DLC is going to be improved and included in this one along with two new maps.

Amico
+ I love the ideas behind it
+ The controllers are so different and look fun
+ Reasonably-priced games!
- Big gamble on a (probably) niche format

Xbox Series X
+ Amazing tech power
+ Free game upgrades
+ Great backwards compatibility
+ Bethesda (Fallout! Elder Scrolls! Doom!)
- As a PS4 gamer I'd have to re-buy games in the Xbox format; I don't have an XBO gaming library

Switch OLED
+ Great quality OLED screen
+ That white design looks lush!
+ I'd like a second Switch!
- Uhm.. I already have a Switch

PS5
+ I have a large range of PS4 games that I'd love to upgrade / run smoother
+ I'm already in the PS infrastructure
+ The console design is so weird... but I *think* I like it!
+ I have been buying Play magazine and enjoying it

Right now... I'm fixated on PS5. I think I'm going to cancel my Amico pre-order and save that cash to put towards the "buy a PS5" fund.

Have you checked on the overlap of your PS4 library with what is currently available on Gamepass? A Series X plus Gamepass on All Access would leave you room to keep your Amico preorder.

Rex, thanks dude, yeah, Game Pass sure does look to be great value. I'm not totally sold on the idea myself, though - I still have that (maybe old-school!) idea of "owning" games and I'm not so keen on the "games leaving" aspect. It's certainly a decent scheme, though.

As for the Amico... if I was flush with cash I'd get one, just because I'd like to support what they're trying to do. But I'm not and I want to move to having just one format for new gen rather than spending across different systems.

I don't expect to be buying something in the close future but I think PS5 is driving my desire at the mo'. The lure of PSVR 2 arriving in maybe eighteen months is attractive, too.

Yeah, forums seem to be hugely unfashionable with Discord and other channels replacing them. Bethesda closed all their forums (bar ESO) recently and moved to Discord. I use the Fallout 76 one and it's a blooming mess; unless you have a new folder for every topic (which you can't*), chat just degenerates into a mush which has no cohesion.

* Discord has recently introduced some form of topic/discussion functionality but no-one seems to use it.
