Stuck on the final boss of Conker's Bad Fur Day and it's doing my nut in. Can't get his pattern at all.

18 year old game, but spoilered just in case:
He has a different tell for each move. The tail-whip is pre-empted by a screech, and the bite by a growl. The first go round he'll almost always tail-whip, so jump in close and immediately hammer B. Second phase he'll usually tail-whip then bite alternately. Tiny jump over the tail, block the bite with Z(Left Trigger) and hammer B again. Third one is a bit of a crapshoot I'm afraid, so just react to his tells. He takes a good few punches the third time, but just keep tapping away and you'll eventually land the finisher.

He gave me a lot of grief the other day, too. I just kept quitting and reloading when I died so I didn't lose any lives. :P

Kill la Kill game is getting good reviews :o I was told it'd be suspect but then I learned it'd by the dev that did DB FighterZ. There's a demo (7 GB) on PS4, it's probably up on Switch and XB as well.

Different dev. Arc System Works are just publishing it, little-known company APLUS have been developing it and it doesn't seem like they have a great track record.

However, yeah, some positive reviews so far so I'm cautiously optimistic. Hope the Switch version holds up well as that's the one I'll probably be getting.

I need to finish watching Kill La Kill, but it was removed from Netflix (at least I couldn't see it when I last looked) and I'm too lazy to open another program to get it. Oh, well.

Did you try the demo :dread: I opted to "play" the story and... well, I gave up after hitting start being shown a 5-10 minute of cutscene  :fp:

Indie FPS rogue-lite (early access)

Looks really interesting to play.

Shark__5214 says she didn’t set out to flout video gaming tradition. This is simply how she picked up the controller for the first time, and she’s stuck with it. According to her video tweet, she didn’t even know she was doing anything unusual until quite recently.

But what’s maybe the biggest surprise of all is that while many of the people watching @shark__5214’s video have never seen someone hold a controller like this before, she actually isn’t the first person to do so. As a matter of fact, there was a time when enough people adopted this technique to earn it its own name among Japanese gamers: AC grip.

Unfortunately, AC stands for Armored Core, a mecha combat game from developer From Software that peaked in popularity and lapsed into stasis before the social media boom, so videos of people using AC grip, as well as discussions of what advantages it offered for the game, are hard to come by.

What the actual strawberry float?

and I thought I held a controller weirdly (Before analog sticks came along, I held controllers tiltled forwards so I could press the d-pad and buttons using my fingers instead of my thumbs as I found it improved my reaction speed when playing driving and fighting games).

Went into my local Morrison’s today and they’ve now dumped all gaming magazines from their shelves. My Sainsbury’s opting to only stock Official PlayStation Magazine as well (used to do Xbox and PC Gamer but stopped a few months ago). Don’t know if this is store specific of if this is the new norm nationwide.

I guess sales have got to the point it’s no longer worth stocking. Take A Break supremacy.

When PC Gamer gets a fortune-telling psychic horse, then we'll talk.

I've been looking for the latest Retrogamer for about a week, not stocked in WHSmiths, Morrisons, Tesco, or Sainsbury's.

Noticed that myself. Really winds me up as they've got a million shitty "FORTNITE" comics (They're not magazines).

Definitely gonna subscribe soon I think.

Individual copies can be purchased from Future directly at myfavouritemagazines.co.uk. Go through Quidco and you’ll also get 16% back.
