It was all incredibly well planned. I'd sit in a chopper, and the moment the bridge collapsed my pilot would evac me to safety. I'd get to laugh at Raze's C4 face. But moments before the bridge exploded, the chopper vanished, I fell onto the bridge and then the entire bridge fell into the ocean.

I was also killed by a car, because the people of Venezuela apparently don't understand that you don't keep driving when your bridge is out. We must have seen about 200 hundred cars drive off the bridge and into the sea, I was killed when one crushed my head and exploded.

Awesome, OTT fun.

Been playing Phoenix Wright recently, brilliant games.

Just started playing Advanced Wars Days of Ruin, also great.

Actually I have a question - why wasn't Reggie in Smash Bros Brawl?

That would have been brilliant. :)

Speaking of Mercenaries 2, i went down to GAME on the Sunday after release, and there were still loads of copies on the shelves. Now, i know that there would be because i live in a small-ish city, and they are always replenishing the stock, but in combination with the negative review scores, it made me very on-the-fence about buying it. In the end i got it anyway, and i'm glad i did. Haven't tried Co-op yet, i'll wait for a friend to pick it up, which they should, just for the pleasure of Nuking a very flimsy shanty town.

It is pretty easy to stay alive, as well. I stood on top of a very tall building, then nuked that very building. It hurt a lot, but i was still alive when the whole thing collapsed. Quite disappointing that, actually. But overall a top game.

I am so bored with games at the moment, I have no idea what to play.

The last last game I played was Castle Crashers and that was really good but it was just too short. >_<

Anyone know of any decent cheap games that I could play?

I don't have a PSP, PS3 or a PS2.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a comedian in the room.

Bad Company is class. I didn't like it so much to begin with but when you get into it, it's great fun. And as with all team games, if you work as a team it vastly improves. I'd love some GR games on it.

A mate of mine has talked me into buying it. So yes.

Yeah, I'm still playing GRID (excellent game). But due to Morrisons "almost give away a game" deal I now have TW2009, which looks good :D .

You mean the more popular midnight version that has more pages?

Anyway, finished Castle Crashers the other night. Bloody good fun, managed to avoid the save destroying bugs too.

I once created a GGC Midnight thread. My opening post was:

"So, games then."

melatonin locked it within one post. I miss that guy.

Anyway, in other news, in game development, too many cooks spoil the broth. Office politics can rip a promising game idea apart.

Also, if I have to hear the term 're-skin' again, I'm going to hang myself.

Are Mercernaries and Bad Company as bad as people suggest?

What's the latest on Manhunt 2 getting a release over here? I haven't really been keeping up to date with the whole story.

The thread's perfect for this, I've just been getting into Resident Evil 4 on the Wii and i've forgotten just how good the game is. But the bit that stood out for me is when you take control of Ashley and you walkthrough the misty hallway with all the Knights there. Walking past them, i don't think i've been that on edge since i played Project Zero for the 1st time. Truly brilliant stuff.

I was looking forward to it, the Open Beta I had a key for started on Sunday, however a lot of people had been expressing concerns that GOA (the company that will run the game in Europe) are a bunch of cowboys not able to organise a piss up in a brewery. On Sunday they proved this assumption to be correct, the servers failed, no one could set up accounts or log in. Sure this is a Beta but they ballsed it up big time. I will possibly try again tonight, possibly as my PC has now also started playing up.

Just have to say, the news has been really slow on games lately. I so bored at work and need entertainment! Where's all the new previews? I need a new game!

I know what you mean. There was a time not so long ago that new previews and big news stories were every other day, whereas now (despite plenty of big games just around the corner and not forgetting the Xmas rush) there seems to be barely anything of interest.

Without a doubt, in fact its worth getting at full price.

In the last 3 months there hasn't been a better game released.

 - absolute rubbish.

However I am keen to know if the XBOX360 version still has awful tearing from the BETA. So, has it? Someone else has already replied (in another thread) that the PlayStation3 version doesn't have any so I EXPECT the XBOX360 version not to either (I do want to buy this for my XBOX360).

Can I ask you what your deal is with tearing? It's the first thing you ask about any game anyone recommends.

I had too many games on my shelf so I stuck them all in my TV cabinet drawers. There was too much choice - I'd look at the shelf and wonder what to play for longer than I'd end up playing the game. Now I've only got what I'm playing, or is new, out it's a lot easier.

On the shelf I've got:
360 - Eternal Sonata, Beautiful Katamari, Too Human, Bad Company, Viva Piñata 2, GTAIV, Lego Star Wars TCS and Lost Odyssey.
PS3 - MGS4 and Ratchet & Clank.
Wii - Mario Galaxy and SSBB.
PS2 - Ico and SotC.

Still too many games :/

Far too many in the drawers too... Plenty I need to finish off.
