That surprises me, I'd have bet money on it being The Ninja Warriors.

Red Ninja, Blue Ninja, two players, side scroller.

Could it be Shadow Warriors?

Nah, that's not it. Was there ever a version of Dragon Ninja that had re-skinned main characters?

I was sure the characters were red and blue because I used to play with my cousin and always wanted to be the blue ninja.

I was a fan of the Amstrad CPC 464. It always got the shitty end of the stick in comparison to the C64 and Spectrum, but in the right hands it could piss on them both. Graphically, it was just as good as if not better than the C64. However, the C64 had built in abilities to handle games (scrolling) which the CPC 464 did not. So you'd get alot of flick screen games on the Amstrad.

i had to be a fan, it was all i had, if i'm honest i really wanted the C64 at the time, my friend had one and i loved paper boy and transformers on it.

regardless, i had some good times with my amstrad...

games that took very short load times were usually my favourite (about 10 minutes or less)

and the two most played games i had, because they were cartridge based and had no load times, Burning rubber (which i still play when waiting on the 360 or ps3 to update :fp: ) and robocop 2, which i don't own anymore

The 'posh' kid on our road had a GX4000. He was posh because he went to private school. He was only two doors down from us and was always in our house playing our Sega Megadrive. Christmas came, and he'd asked his mum for a Megadrive. He got a GX4000 :fp:

Worst part was, we borrowed him our Megadrive in exchange for the GX4000. Just to try it out. Within a couple of minutes we realised it was cack. Tried to get our Megadrive back, but his mum always said he was out when we called round. Despite the fact we could hear him playing it in the back room.

The Spectrum version sure as hell wasn't. It was a confusing, dull clusterfuck.

The original Argus Press "Alien" game had crude as strawberry float visuals, but it was was way more terrifying.

yeah brah, what ever console i owned i always bought the mag to go with it for free demos and such, until the internet arrived...

Amstrad action gave away full games too IIRC, and great demo's, i remember the hero quest demo, i went out and bought the game on the back of it, which was kinda fun but couldn't really live up to playing with real folk with the board game. That said the video game is literately the first 20 missions/quests from the board game quest book.

cool game though, i think i have space crusade too, last time i tried neither worked very well unfortunately.
