Ghost Sweeper Mikami.

Looks alright. I'll check it out. :D

Magical Pop'N is in the running as well I think.

I love delving a bit deeper into the SNES/SuFami library and trying out titles that you don't always hear people talking about.

It's something I want to do more myself. I've played most of the big obvious stuff, but there are some decent gems hidden away behind region, language or price barriers. Sometimes all three.

There's another game I really want to recommend but can't remember the name... (gimme a minute off to Google) it's Heisei Inu Monogatari Bow: Pop'n Smash!! there's another very similar game called Sanrio World Smash Ball which is great too if you don't mind the Sanrio cuteness.

Made another video about Fire Emblem 3.

It's still a fun game.

You'd hate it.

What about putting some of those randomiser roms on the real hardware.

Id look into some of the unreleased games you can get and like homebrew/alterd games as its really neat to play them on proper hardware

Knightmare Busters I dont think properly came out at the time and its pretty darn good

If you ever played Zombies Ate my Neighbours and like your games tough id recommend giving this sort of homebrew sequel a bash

For quick blasts of fun I like Jet Pilot Rising its sort of what if someone had made a more artisitic flappy bird back in the snes days

I only have a basic everdrive that cant handle the special chips but its great to dive into the hacks and homebrew and dumped prototypes, I am going to look at this comic book game shadowhawk soon its a weird comic about a guy who basically got Aids and become a vigilantte which nearly got turned into a SNES game, apparently theres an almost finished version out there.

Some good shouts there Kerr.

I looked at the other Super Everdrives, but it was the lack of support for the expansion chips that pushed me to the more expensive option. That and MSU1 support.

So far it's been great and the only issue I have is that my Super Famicom isn't modded for 50Hz games so I can't really play PAL games on it. I need to switch to my SNES instead for that.

I do simmilar to you, I have a Pal SNES I modded to run at 60hz and to not have region lock but for things this causes issues with I switch to an unmodded unit. When I modded the pal unit to run at 60hz I was going to put a chip in but its. I only got a cheapo Everdrive because it was £50 maybe one day I will update it but I own like Starwing and stuntrace and pilotwings and a lot of the stuff you need chips for as I have somewere between 150 and 200 carts so I am not in a rush.

I want to keep things un-modded where possible. So having both definitely helps there. I've not got anywhere near that number of carts, so getting a SD reader that was compatible with as much as possible was important.

I'm definitely focusing on the SNES/SFC right now. My next step is to get some of the RAD2X cables which convert it to a 480p HDMI signal for easy use with modern TV's. That and an 8bitdo Retro Receiver so I can use my wireless pads for it should sufficiently future proof things.

I'm open to potentially picking up a US SNES at some point, just to complete the set and maybe even the mini SNES they released towards the very end of it's life-cycle. Those are more expensive and utterly unnecessary at this point though.

Jelly boy 2, you have to try it on your sd reader on your SNES

Gave a couple of those games a try last night.

Ghost Sweeper Mikami was alright. Got to the second level boss but I wasn't amazed by it.

Jelly Boy 2 is damn good fun though, so good shout Kerr. Cleared the first "World" and started onto the second so I'm pretty sure I'll go back to it.

I also played a little bit of Cybernator, which is one of the Konami shooters I've always wanted to spend some time with. It's slow but good fun and a nice change of pace compared to something like Contra/Probotector or Gunstar Heroes.

So I'll probably be dipping in and out of Jelly Boy 2 and Cybernator for the next couple of weeks.

I love cybernator I remember having it back in the day, if you have a megadrive and a sd reader for that theres a prequel to it on there thats pretty decent as well.

Yeah I think it's part of the Assault Suit series (Leynos is the MD one I think).

I don't have a Mega Everdrive (yet), but my plan is to kit out all my old cartridge systems with them eventually.
I'm just going through them a system at at time, cleaning them up and sorting out the best video cables I can get. I might have to mod a few of them though in order to get the signal I need (NES, Master System).

Once I'm done with SNES I'm going to move onto N64 I think.

There's a translation patch available for the Japanese game that became Cybernator. From what I gather the original version was a lot more story driven.

I love Cybernator - I actually own the SNES PAL version. It's nails, but lots of fun.

For the megadrive just about any everdrive type thing will play every megadrive game bar virtua racing, it will also play pretty much all master system games on the megadrive and you can plug in a Master System pad as well so I wouldn't worry about bothering modding a master system and getting an everdrive etc.

That’s the pre-order closed for those N64 Rad2x cables. I was waiting until payday. Gutted I missed it. I hope they put more up or even get to the point of having them on general sale.

Dammit. I'd been holding off for that as well. Knew I should have pulled the trigger.

EDIT: Yeah it wouldn't let me checkout with it anymore. Bollocks. Gonna have to wait for the next batch I guess.
