I'm waiting for the day you say you found NES Stadium Events for a £1 in some British Heart Foundation store.

Check out some of our stuff!

I have such fond memories of "games night" evenings with my best friend playing Terrorist Hunt co-op on this, we were such a well-drilled unit

:slol:

That’d be quite the find. Best I’ve ever managed is the odd Rock Band peripheral.

Charity shops round my neck of the woods just have shelves and shelves of DVDs plus the occasional copy of Brain Training on DS.

I might still go back and get that copy of dues ex human revolution, just given how rare charity shop finds are.

I noticed how CEX are now doing various PS3 games for under a quid though. Mostly cod etc.

I think we are reaching the sort of time when a lot of shops are going to want to start dropping PS3 and Xbox 360 games time to get anything you want to get before it gets to be a pain

My brother gave me his Xbox 360 a while back because he couldn't be bothered selling it on Ebay. Are there any standout titles for the system that I should be looking out for while the likes of CEX are still selling them?

I'd make sure to get skyrim, oblivion, fallout 3, fallout new Vegas, south park stick of truth, phantasy star universe, forza 3, forza 4, blue dragon, but there all based on my preferences

Thanks, I'll have a look at those on YouTube. I love racing games, though, so I'm guessing I'll like forza 3 and 4. :)

The first 4 suggestions would keep you busy until about 2073.

Ha! I'm already busy until about 2073. I'll be 100 by then, and just about able to retire! ;)

Yeah I second lost odyssey, there are some good long RPG type games on the system my first Xbox 360 game was Enchanted Arms I think it was called , that's a decent RPG if you see it.

My girlfriend had a 360 when we met and 2 games , she now has about 60 cause of me buying her stuff she says to add fable 2 and 3 to the list she played the living heck out of them.

Bayonetta. It's still better than the PS3 version, and the rereleases bump it up to 1080p and 60fps but that's it. It's pretty much the only game I actually played before I sold with about 30 games and bought it again and finished it on Wii U.

Other than that castle crashers and super meat boy but I doubt there's any discounts if the 360 Arcade is still online.

I enjoyed the dark tone of Halo ODST as well, the only one I've really played without getting bored by slow movement.

I used to be all about 360 until I discovered PS3 which while initially expensive and a little slow off the mark in the long run had the better library for my money.

It all depends what kind of games you are into, I would recommend Dead or Alive 4 but if fighters aren't your bag then I doubt it would appeal. Kameo: Elements of Power is a decent Zelda-esque game for the system too.

I do agree that in the end the PS3 is the better system. Shame it's so loud and some of the earlier titles have technical issues. That said, mine has never died (launch console, I bought it on here a few years ago from Knoyleo).

360 is still a safer bet in terms of performance, if you care about that sort of thing. Sony still run deep discounts in the PS Store if you're missing anything.

Oh and obviously the 360 Controller S is a much better design, I still can't believe they out out the same controller as 1998. Flower is great with sixaxis though.
