Don't have the disc, but the Dreamcast will always be a special machine for me.

My whole second year of uni revolved around getting together with mates, smoking a load of weed and playing hour upon hour of Jet Set Radio, Soul Calibur, MSR and Marvel Vs Capcom 2.

Phenomenal machine.

We had a 360 for that but it was the same thing essentially. God I miss those days. :dread:

Not dreamcast but I remember staying up all night with my mate, again smoking a load of weed, while he made a birthday card (By hand) for his girlfriend and we worked our way through Final Fantasy VIII.

Don't think we went to bed till 11am the next day.

It was a time in my life I'll never get to relive, but I'll always have those memories. So many good times.

Recently copied Devlin and got me a Super Famicom and one of the RAD2X (I think)g cables and a SD2SNES and I grabbed a 8bit do receiver and pad for the Snes. Everything is here and I'm going to try it all out now. Next up I think is going to be N64.

Im guessing your a couple of years older than me because my second year of College was focused around the Dreamcast, I remember one party I was at which was all playing dreamcast games while eating vodka jelly , thought id got really lucky out back of the house kissing this lass until she puked all over my shoes , I turned her around to face away from me and the rest of the night consisted of rubbing her back while she vomited into the flowers, occasiaonally glancing back into the house seeing everyone happy on the dreamcast.

The Dreamcast was and remains a great gaming console. The last true console that brought the feel of the arcade into your living room.

Mine is currently packed away, but I do have a DC emulator on the PC.

I remember the first and last time I tried the DC chat room. "Ooh, this is fun!" I thought.

Then I got the phone bill. :dread:

I guess it was the gentlemanly thing to do

Personally I'd have been inclined to leave her outside and rejoined the party, which explains why I'm still single at 38.

I don’t think I’ve ever been to a party where gaming was the focal point I must say, but I do miss having the lads around for a few rounds of something like Mario Kart and some beers. It was great when everyone lived locally, but now we’re scattered around the world and it’s not really feasible.

Since I've had to put my Famicom project on the back burner (My Dad isn't comfortable doing the RGB Mod himself and I can't swing the £130 to send it off to be done right now) I've now got a wee pile of Famicom games with nothing to play them on. So I've got myself a shitty Chinese Famiclone on it's way.

Image

Looks like a Mega Drive 2 and only cost about £11 so you know it's properly shite. But it has AV out so I can at least test the games I have out on it.

I had considered a Dendy system, which were the old Russian Famicom clones, but they were more than I was willing to pay for something I have every intention of hurling in a skip once I'm done.

Looks decent for a clone where did you get it from.

I've had a few clones one I had for about 4 years looked like a PS1 but it gave up about a year ago, before that I had one that looked like an N64 , they seem to be ok but don't seem to last, my old master system 1 and NES still work well.

I grabbed two Wii's today £10 each all with wires sensors and power supplies, one with a real nunchuck and remote the other with a competition pro nunchuck and remote, they don't look great missing flaps and dirty etc but I'll probably use all the leads etc for better looking Wii's I already have.

It was an eBay purchase.

For £11 or so I'm not gonna be too annoyed if it's utterly useless.

Indeed it was.

It's shipping from the UK though so I should be Coronavirus free.

Grabbed one of those Gamestick consoles boxed all the bits including the pad and a 32gig micro SD card for £9 apparently the game store for them is shutdown but there supposed to be able to be hacked to download Android programme from elsewhere and quiet decent for a spot of emulation.
