I was gonna ask about the labels Nintendonerd - did you print them for a template, or design them yourself? I need to get a set of stickers for my collection.

Hi Corazon, I decided the sets you could get from eBay were overpriced so I bought 20 sheets of sticky back paper, I think the original template was just googled and imported to gimp, after that I just googled the artwork for each game and used gimp to resize into the template, unfortunately I didn't save each sheet or I could have sent them, it does take some time though as each one needs to be cut out after they have printed.

I know it's incredibly immature but I crack up everytime someone talks about Gimp.

Had a rubbish day at work so popped into a few shops after for retail therapy, it was that or go nuts at a few people.
I grabbed a few bits in one of the pawn stores.
Killer instinct for SNES cart only for £4
WarioLand for Gameboy cart only £4
Shadowgate classic for gameboy color cart only £4
Pokemon gold for Gameboy cart only for £8
and then 5 gba carts for £5 Rayman hoodlums revenge, minority report, Charlie and the chocolate factory, treasure planet and Jimmy neutron vs Jimmy negatron.

Nothing Earth shattering but it made me feel better

Wario Land is strawberry floating awesome. That's a good haul.

Not sure what Paint.net is, but I'll take a look.

I can print and machine cut stickers bespoke btw, not on vinyl but other permeable films (I do vinyl decals but can't print on vinyl, for that I need like 5 grand, I've already invested about 1.5 grand in this setup), I mean inkjet glossy, matte, transparent or white etc stickers like you buy in shops. All I need is a layout with a vector layer or other indication of what the cut line is, I do up to A3 sheets. The contour can be any shape whatsoever so they can fit the shape of the cart, whatever that is. I literally have an A3 printer just sitting around that desperately needs to do print jobs regularly or the print head will just die and I'll have to replace it (thankfully I have 3 year commercial warranty).

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Had a thought the other day, I have my grandad's small vhs player up in the attic the heads are knackerd on it but we never threw it because it was his , well it has a old in socket and outputs in scart, I was thinking it would make a good pass through for old computers and consoles for my bedroom TV that doesn't have the old Port on it, thought this idea might help someone else as well.

Nice pickup, Drum - an essential classic for an N64 collection!

Sounds neat, kerr, but just to check my understanding: you're using the video to enable the ability to connect up systems via, say, RF or s-video so that you can then use Scart output to a TV?

Sounds like it.

It's a fairly common solution to getting an AV signal from non-AV systems.

Yep that's what I'm thinking, didn't realise it was common but I suppose if it just came into my head the same thing must have drifted into other people's brain boxes.

I got Extreme G2 cart only for N64 today for £3 , it's ok, it's no Fzero though.

The Extreme G series was absolutely fine but it really was unfortunate to have to compete with the majesty of F-Zero X and GX. Still the best future-themed racing games I've ever played.

Xtreme G 3 was the best future racer on the PS2, seeing how utterly crap Wipeout Fusion was.

Wish the genre would make a comeback, there's nothing wrong with serious driving sims but it'd nice to see more arcade-y racers that aren't made by tiny indie developers.

In my sadness I’ve done a quick sweep to see how many black-border N64 PAL boxes I can find and I’m on 39. All published by Nintendo, but not all Nintendo published games have the borders - Majora’s Mask, all four Pokemon games, Banjo Tooie and Perfect Dark are all exceptions. I’ll post the list when I get home - if anyone knows of any others please let me know.
