It was awesome. I liked it better than Mario Kart tbh.

Playing Castle of Illusion Remake made me think of other gamegear games. THIS gooseberry fool RIGHT HERE. TUNE.

Over the weekend I re-arranged my gaming set up and re-set up the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. Both connected to my 4K TV, running the Wii through component cables and obviously it’s not the greatest image quality but I think the fact I went back and started playing 3DS again recently has numbed me to how bad it might actually be :slol:

Got a massive library of GC and Will games so I’ll run a few and see how they look.

Long Live Switch Squad!

The giant logo moulded into the disk is wonderful.

I havent orderd much at all what with everything thats going on, I did order a retro trio the one with joe and mac when it diped to £50 on Amazon, and a cheap megadrive everdrive just to play a bunch of old games on but after the one order I have just figured I dont want loads and loads of stuff turning up.

It works as the security protection. The bigger recesses on the I and N are for the disk to lock in place.

Didn't work though as there are loads of copied disks out there. Pretty sure my Disk System copy of SMB1 isn't genuine. But it goes nicely with my Bootleg SMB3 cart.

Yeah things have been slow retro wise as well.

The only other thing I've got recently is a copy of Mario Galaxy to fill that gap in my Wii collection.

Just Sunshine next and I've got all of the Mario games I need.

That disc is so cool. I love how tactile retro stuff like that can be.

I also know someone selling a copy of sunshine :shifty:

Just discovered OpenRCT2 and have spent a couple of hours playing it.

It actually runs great on modern hardware although I have had to set the overall zoom to 2x to make the text readable.

The OpenRCT team are doing the Lord's work.

If you have RCT1, you can link to the install directory in OpenRCT2 to import the old maps/scenarios/ride blueprints too!

Just realised I never put a picture up of my GC collection once I got the last ones I wanted, so here it is.

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Lovely. There's something slightly good about the GC port of Burnout 1 btw, in case you see it in a condition you like. It's 60fps and superior to the PS2 version, it's also hard as nails with a lightly more realistic feel to its graphics before all the fire and stuff started happening in the UI.

THPS3 is also an excellent port and I kind of feel like Starfox Adventures even though it isn't very good ought to be there. I also had Freedom Fighters but let it go on here a while ago...

Plus both Rogue Squadron games. Then it would be NGC: The Collection.

Just to give you excuses to spend more money

That is an absolutely rock solid collection. All in brilliant condition too. There’s about 10-15 games I’d love to get on the Cube and after that I’m done.

I have around two thirds of those. (I don't like survival horror or party games, which makes up the bulk of games missing from my own collection).

Nice collection.

Nice collection.

Also impressed you managed to get all of those in one shot.

In the words of Mark Nicholas, That Is Very Good. I’m trying to think of worthwhile games on the machine that you’ve missed and I’ve thought of just the one that I’ve played: the heckin’ niche Wario World. (Also Second Sight which I haven’t. Phantasy Star Online would I suppose count if the servers were still up.)

Incidentally three of my top five games ever are in that shot.

(looks at rest of thread) Eww, old games.

You don't have Starfox Adventures. Whether or not that's worthwhile though...

Edit - Or perhaps Rogue Leader. Excellent collection though

I had second sight. Actually quite a few "good to very good" third party games I let go of and probably shouldn't have because they're hard to find in good condition now! I think I bought Freedom Fighters new for example. I didn't really play through either of those games which was kind of a missed opportunity. Luigi's Mansion has rocketed in price also, I remember it going for around £7-12. I bought that on launch day. Traded it for Twin Snakes on here which was obviously a good trade (it's Cal's copy) as someone stole mine. I'll get it all together one day!

I rented Wario World which was decent as besides Ikaruga might be the only Treasure game on the system?

Which is even weirder. I guess it shares some of its DNA with Mischief Makers, perhaps?

Mischief Makers. Damn, that's a blast from the past.
