Going to have a mooch about the town today, see what games I can pick up. Hoping to score a few GC titles in CEX.

No luck in the charity shops. :(

I did pick up some stuff from CEX though. Almost bagged Mario Kart DD, but the strawberry floaters wanted £28. :x

Grabbed Rocky and Burnout 2 on GC.

Driver for PS1

Also picked up Halo Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo ODST, Halo Reach & Halo 4

How the strawberry float did I ever play these older Pokémon games. Stuck on Yellow on the 3DS last night and I was like :dread:

Not sure I'll stick with it.

There behind glass so can't really do that. I have picked up a fake here and there in bundles of games so if I was an a_hole I'd take the fake Pokémon fire red I have and trade it into them as it's identical to the fake version they have but then id feel bad that someone might buy mine , the funny side being though if they called mine out for being fake then I'd be oh so this and that marking are wrong well that's funny because it's exactly like yours?

Cex regularly print their own dodgy box art sleeves for games so i'm not surprised.

I recently bought Alex Kidd in Miracle World for the Master System from Cash Generator via eBay and that was a fake. Repro label with the game having been flashed onto a Shinobi cart. Seems like it's a common thing as I shared it on a Sega group I'm in and there's been loads of them turning up in CEX, Cash Generator/Converters. Not great for the collectors market and the shops don't have a clue.

Had a top gaming day with my usual crew.

It started off poorly with a 4th place in Mario Party 3 (Chilly Waters) but got infinitely better in Mario Party 2 when, on the final turn, I landed on a happening space to break the 4-way tie for that bonus star which won me the game on account of having more coins at the end than my mate who had the same number of stars.

I then won a very tense round of Mario Kart 64, 29pts to 28, 28 and 11pts, by winning the last track which was Rainbow Road by nailing the massive shortcut at the start.

I had a lesser victory in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour too and somehow managed to hold my own at Brawl despite being terrible.

I got a complete copy of Solar Jetman for NES, a game by Rare from 1991. The box art is just lovely, it's done in pastels or colour pencils on high tooth paper unlike the typical airbrush.

I remember my brother played this a lot.

It's on Rare Replay as well. It's hard as gooseberry fool.
