Been on an eBay kick recently. Got an original GBA on its way and just won an auction for a Master System II with 13 games. That gives me all the Sega home consoles now.

Also planning on turning the spare room into a retro haven with all my older systems on display. Just measuring up today.

I've got a few boxed GBA games I'd sell on if you're after any? I forget which ones exactly but fzero and puzzle fighter are in there.

arrives March 29th (£70) and is capable of running other C64 games via USB.

Nope, those gameboy games are empty so it's just sitting and there's space on the right. I never jam shelves

Last I checked taz express goes for up to £70 in that condition. Together with spare gameboy player disk I'm looking to pick up some golden stuff.

Very jealous. I never even kept my hardcase ds boxes when I moved, just the hori cartridge holder. Regretting that now.

Oh, man, that sounds ace. Unfortunately I just don't have the space to set up many consoles and so my older systems reside in a cupboard at the moment. A dedicated retro room would be terrific!

This is my dream - we're moving into a flat with a spare room this week. I'd like to have a few shelves with all my Nintendo games on show, alongside DVDs and other knick-knacks that have been picked up over the years. XBone would sit in the living room, everything else would sit in a cabinet in the spare bedroom. Would maybe even source a CRT TV from somewhere.

Alas, we're currently locked in the process of making a deal on what the room will actually be used for.

That reminds me that I still need to get F-Zero X. In fact, I still need to get around 13 or so N64 games to complete the collection target of around 30 games.

The most difficult (and expensive) to get will be Paper Mario and Conker's Bad Fur Day...but the rest should be ok.

They both come up pretty regularly on eBay CIB and in good nick - as you say, it’s the expense of them that’ll kill you, it’ll be £400+ for the pair.

Ah yes! It's great, I've been through the art book a bunch, watched the DVD, and looking forward to putting the awesome poster back up in my new place, basement workshop for the win. Open plan living room and spare room so office for both of us and can play the gaming PC there without feeling like it's encroaching on work stuff.

Rented of course but found somewhere decent at the right time finally.

I'll always have my stuff on show and accessible because I really do play it and I have no shame! It's nothing excessive by any measure. Girlfriend's parents quizzed the usual do you actually play all these games, get rid of them, etc. Nope, never (get rid that is, I sometimes sell some average/poor games or stuff I really never play but regret previous sales). Yet it was them who kept the "new" N64 boxes in the attic, smart!

It's funny how in this thread we seem to end up discussing housing arrangements for games!

Conker's BFD recently showed up twice at the local indie.. Always over 100 snoops. Man do I wish I just offered to buy the rental copy I took out several times back in the day..

Good article from DF Retro today. Exhumed/Powerslave was superb. Still have a copy myself on PSone.

I remember playing the exhumed demo a lot when it first came out, always found it really impressive. It still looks pretty good now actually. Don't know why I never got round to buying it actually

Got a DS Lite piano black in excellent condition for £25 off ebay. I hate the way the 3DS scales DS games so money well spent. I had the original DS back in the day and the lite is sexy af compared to it.

And now I'm looking at biverted backlit modded GB pockets on ebay. Hmm. Damn handhelds are too collectible and handy for playing while watching tv.

I'd just download games and hold start and select on 3ds for native 1:1 pixel mapping tbh.

Eh opinions but I think it's worth it for £30.

One thing I noticed on 3DS is the buttons are too bloody hard to press sometimes for older games to fire rapidly. So older NES/SNES style buttons are better in this regard.

My most recent purchase was a loose copy of Super Metroid, which I got from eBay for £26.30 (including postage). I feel that's quite a good price for that game these days and I'm happy enough with what I paid. It's in pretty good condition too.
