Today I got a slimline ps2 just the machine and power so no pads or TV lead for £5 wasn't that fussed on getting it but the guy trying to sell it me in the charity shop really helps me and sells me stuff there going to throw etc (he sold me a broke ps4 for £10 I got working again).

Then I got sonic advance 3 complete for GBA for £6 and got now that's what I call music dance and sing, and the Michael Jackson experience complete for Wii for a quid each.

I got Advanced Wars Dual Strike for DS complete for 99pence. I adore this game.

The following are not really retro but I got them for my collection. My girlfriend got me Star Fox Zero, Mario Tennis Ultra Smash and New Super Mario Bros U for £2.99 each. Then I went and got another Star Fox Zero, two copies of Splatoon, Lego starwars the force awakens, Hyrule Warriors, Watch dogs and splinter cell blacklist all for £2.99 complete. I might be wrong but figured I'd grab this stuff while its cheap.

Advance Wars DS is absolutely fantastic. Solid bargain!

And the rest of that stuff is a complete steal. I do think that one day Wii U stuff will end up as collectors items. I showed the system to an ex gf, and she was amazed by it, having just dismissed it previously. You really needed to try it to get the point of it.

It feels like a console just out of its time; not good enough in some ways, but ahead of its time in others. It's like the Switch crawling out of the sea and onto the land

Picked up Turtles: Tournament Fighters and Super Ghouls and Ghosts as one of the vultures who hung about G-Force until the end last week. I'm not proud of it.

Brilliant game. This made me buy a DS back in the day.

Played through it last year again, the game is so broken, but it is really fun despite that.

Great games, I'm very fond of Turtles Tournament as I have happy memories of getting it one birthday, super ghouls and ghosts is great too and one of those games sellers often seem to want a small ransom for

I was sniffing around Gforce. I didn’t think they had marked stuff down much. I went in on the last day and the stuff still wasn’t reduced much at all.

I went in an Indy game shop today and they tried to sell me some GBA carts they'd got in recently, had to inform them out of the 20 carts they had 15 were fakes....

I did buy two real loose carts Mech Platoon and Konami Krazy Racers for £6.50 in total.

Konami Krazy Racers was pretty good. I don't know how well it holds up these days.

Just for laughs I decided to check CEX website to see what my megadrive/32x/CD tower of power and games would be worth.

Jesus strawberry floating Christ

I could pay the mortgage off with what that's worth

I too was shocked by some of the prices the games are fetching on Ebay.

Yeah Wii U games have utterly bombed, seen at my local stores as well (don't venture into game, but CEX are dropping them too).

I still have no Switch so planning on snapping up the likes of some of those too.

I've actually wanted to try some of the "newer" Advance Wars games, shame Fire Emblem weabo fever killed the series off.

My local game has hardly dropped the prices of Wii u stuff at all, all the cheap stuff was got from Game in skegness but its worth checking your local. Cex have some decent prices better then my local game but not as good as the other game. Mario tennis is like £10 in CEX but there's some good stuff for around £5 like Lego City Under cover.

Yeah I'm a huge Fire Emblem fan myself but I wish Advance Wars got as much attention as there great games too

Decided to download Championship Manager 97/98 on my Mac.

I love how simple the game is, I remember thinking it was the most in depth game of all time

It’s more addictive than I remember, I just can’t stop playing or thinking about it. Tonight before I sleep I’ll no doubt conduct a press conference in my head.

Man, I used to love Championship Manager! I played '93 on my Amiga for years! Tbh the complexity of the more recent versions has driven me away from the series; I'd loved the 1990s style of the game to appear on modern consoles.

Oh, and...
