Nice.

I think I like getting the Japanese version, because (Certainly in this case) it looks totally different from the US/EU version and with the FDS offers something that we never got at all. The SFC was mostly because I wanted to get an SD2SNES but didn't want to mod my original SNES. It was cheaper to get a SFC and I quite liked the idea of building up a small collection of select SFC games that I didn't own for my SNES.

For the NES/Famicom I'll be looking to pick up a few things I don't have (Though I may double dip on the Mario games) such as some of the Megaman (Rockman) games and the Disk System versions of Mario Bros 2, Metroid and Zelda.

Anyone ever have this N64 magazine sticker? I’m tempted to remove mine but I’m getting a thick layer of dried adhesive when I lift a corner. I reckon the entire console will be covered with it when I remove it.

Any idea if it’s possible to get that off cleanly with some kind of product?Image

I don’t want to be left with this, as seen on eBay. The seller is saying this has some wear and tear [emoji23].

If you're willing to take the top half of the case off, then hot soapy water, a dish washing sponge and some elbow grease will do the job.

Alternatively you can use this stuff.

I actually did something similar with my SNES at the weekend. Had loads of stickers on it, as well as 27 years worth of accumulated grime and muck, so took the lid off and washed the gooseberry fool out of it. Came up really well and it looks almost new. I'm planning on doing the bottom half at the weekend.

Isopropyl alcohol. And a credit card. And possibly methylated spirit although that might end up polishing it if you're not careful. Latter is available from screw fix for a few quid.

White spirit may also work. But it's much nastier on your hands.

You sure about this. I had a wee scratch at the stuff and it didn’t move. Felt more as if the plastic had changed colour than there being any residue.

Get it soaked with hot soapy water and the paper from the sticker should start to come up and the glue should start to soften. It's only water and soap so it's not going to harm the case at all (Though make sure it's 100% dry before you reassemble it).

If there's persistant sticky residue that you can't get off, then use the stuff myself or Gecko suggested.

I went to a charity shop in chepstowe today, and rather than the usual fifa dirge, they had a really good selection of games. Nothing like N64, but a load of decent PC releases like KOTOR 2 which they'd bundled in to 3s by them (that was with the old battlefront and republic commando). The only bad part being someone had made these bundles by running tape all around the boxes :dread: They had what looked like a complete set of WOW expansions along with a cookery book (DA fug), but because there was tape all over it, the boxes would be ruined when you separated them.

I've also just modded my snes classic mini to have my entire megadrive collection on it, complete with the proper artwork and sorted in to folders :datass:

Nice.

Picked up a few things today myself.

GTA 3 - XB
GTA: Vice City - XB
Spider-Man - XB
Sonic Heroes - XB
LOTR: The Third Age - XB
Link's Crossbow Training - Wii
Madworld - Wii
Donkey Kong Country Returns - Wii

£22 for the lot.

Also got boxed, complete versions of Ducktales and Chip 'n Dale for the NES for £30.

So not bad really. It's nice to finally have some boxed NES stuff as well.

EDIT: Also bought a few bits off Amazon to give my existing carts and hardware a clean. Looking forward to refurbing that stuff next week.

I picked up a bunch of games in the past couple of days, mostly on DS.

Picross DS
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Diddy Kong Racing DS
Henry Hatsworth
Sonic Rush
Indiana Jones and the Emperor’s Tomb

Today I bought a copy of Ouendan on DS on eBay, paid a little more than I would have liked but happy nonetheless.

I’ve been bought Charlie Blast’s Territory and Virtual Chess 64 for Christmas, which means I now have all the PAL puzzle games on the N64, and it also means that I have 64% of the console’s PAL library.

You now need to get 32% of the games released on the 32X.

I may actually be at that figure
