Managed to offload the Xbox Duke, S controllers and cables (including that surge protector thingy MS sent everyone with an Xbox from I think 2002-2003, due to the original supplied cable being a fire hazard) for just shy of 40 quid. Pretty reasonable, I think.

I picked one up as well. It's brilliant.

GameCube provides a better image than Wii, especially if you use one of the GameCube HDMI adaptors vs Wii Component. This seems like justification enough to get the loader and I give it my blessing.

Lots of love,

Your Mum.

Thanks Mum

Don't suppose you've any recommendations for said HDMI adaptors?

They're all pretty similar and are based on the same open source data.

Something like the CARBY would be perfect.

Wrong, banned for stealing from Nintendo!!!

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

Try using that argument in an art gallery.

So, I’m currently contemplating shifting my GameCube and Wii collections. I have a ton of games but I have quite a few that are worth a bit of cash

Pokemon Gale of Darkness
Skies of Arcadia Legends
Paper Mario: TTYD
SD card loader
GB Player
Dancing Stage Mario Mix (including mat)
MGS Twin Snakes

I’ll have to dig out the what I have and start to get an idea of what my collection is worth. They are just sat in a cupboard right now so it seems silly to keep hold of them....

Hello. One thing I'd say is tro make absolutely sure that this is what you want before you make the decision to sell, because some of those will be really tough to get back.

That said I'm very interested in picking up Gale of Darkness, Skies of Arcadia or Dancing Stage if you do decide to sell. Looking for a good few Cube games still so give me a shout dude!

My list at the moment is:

Fire Emblem
Mario Strikers
Gale of Darkness
Skies of Arcadia
Baten Kaitos
Mario Baseball
Killer 7
Viewtiful Joe 2/Red Hot Rumble
All the Mario Parties

I'm sure there are a few others but those are the ones that come to mind at the moment.

Apart from Fire Emblem, I think I have all of them tbh.

I’ll go through my stuff over the weekend and think about what I am going to do and I’ll drop you a pm bud

I finally managed to bag myself a dreamcast after months of missing my bids on ebay (and getting used to ebay snipers..), and now begins the mighty task of buying games for it. Any recommendations? I've already got my eyes on Sonic Adventure, and Shenmue 1 & 2.

Mad Mental Crazy Taxi is my recommendation. What a game, what a soundtrack.

No worries man, thanks! Do think carefully about selling though, some of those games are super rare and would be tough to get back if you ultimately regret your decision!

Spent £8 on getting the legend of zelda twilight princess complete for wiii, james bond nightfire, fifa 2003 and fifa 2004 complete for GameCube with a gameware wireless GameCube pad boxed.

Then got Splinter cell, splinter cell chaos theory and two copies of splinter cell pandora tommorow complete for original xbox for £4

Also got that copy of the Jaleco brawler collection for SNES it cost me £18

I just restarted Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow via the Xbox One X. The opening levels are brilliant, especially the one set on a moving train.

They don't make 'em like this anymore. Unfortunately.

Even though they came out on other formats, to me the Splinter Cell games were synonymous with the original Xbox. The controller felt right, nothing was rushed, you weren't led by the hand because the game thought you were a moron, there weren't a million cutscenes interrupting you every five seconds like MGS, and the graphics epitomised the 'Xbox difference' at the time. The most recent one Ubisoft did was good but it wasn't the same - razmataz and overly glossy showmanship ('ooooh, we can put writing on the wall...') got in the way. It became a lot more action, shooty-bang-bang orientated too.
