Still love it, but have to admit DKC2 probably is the better game.
Now the question is whether to move onto Returns or to try and get everything to unlock the hidden worlds in DKC2 and 3...

If you decide to revisit DKC2 and try to find the secrets, let us know! It was the first game I ever completely completed (at 102%) and I'd like to think I can recall where all the hidden sections are! And if not me, I'm sure Drumstick would also be able.

Speaking of classic platformers and Drumstick... did I read right somewhere that you've never played either of the Mario Galaxies?

You read correctly, I completely skipped the Wii as I never got on with controls, hence why I'm hoping for a remastered release for the Switch.

Absolutely gutted.

Was browsing FB Marketplace and saw that a listing for Path of Radiance for £25 had been up for 4 minutes. I pumped in a message to the seller at hyperspeed claiming it... Only to get a response saying that he'd been advised it was worth a lot more and he sold it to CEX online for £120.

I saw a 'Sega' advertised on our local one with one rubbish game (something like mega games 2) for £50.

It was a multi-mega :o

Yeah that strawberry floater had gone  The guy said someone had it within minutes.

Holy hell at both of these

Didn't think it was still possible to get such deals ha, probably become too jaded after so many charity shop visits of nothing but sports games.

Do people live on fb marketplace hitting refresh 24/7? I've found it quite hard to catch new deals and someone is always there before you, i'm tempted to at least mute the trading groups i'm in because its always a disappointment.

I check it several times a day but it's complete luck whether you're able to get a good deal.

Had a great time at NERG today. Highlights of the day were having a go on the rather rare Mega Drive Tetris game via a Mega Tech cabinet, playing Space Harrier with the deluxe moving cabinet and managing to sample the specially brewed NERG IPA which they’d sold out of by the time hit the shopping area last year.

I’ve been to Play Expo Glasgow and NERG this year, next year I plan on going back to both of those events and perhaps Play Expo Manchester but I really want to check out Insomnia. The whole festival vibe with indoor camping sounds awesome to me.

eBay is ridiculous. My copy of MP7 that I posted pictures of above, which is in pretty excellent condition, was a BIN I snagged for £40.

I've just noticed that a couple of days ago another copy of MP7 in similar condition was sold via auction on there for £72!

Yeah I often find that there are better prices BIN but they get snapped up any moment. People get caught up in the chase of an auction and just spend too much sometimes. That said, some people just don't care how much they pay, they just want to win.

Sometimes it's an arse being in the opposite scenario though. I put my copy of Samus Returns Legacy Edition up because I couldn't actually afford to cover the pre-order and I got less than what I paid on an auction, while people were making £20+ profit Buy It Now. That sucked.

Do you know what your Taz Express is trending at these days?

After hitting a couple of retro conventions this year I kinda wanna get back into retro collecting. I used to have a decent GameCube collection but sold it all on a few years back.

This time I want a system that although I have owned I feel I never really gave a fair chance. I’m currently swaying between Dreamcast and Original XBOX as both seem to be the right side of affordable to collect for... for now anyway.

No. Last I checked it was around £70+ in good boxed condition.

It's usually cart only so pretty much any CIB does fairly well. I want to sell it to swap with something worth owning likes Skies of Arcadia DC or something like that.

Edit: Up to £85 Buy It Now 8-)

Just got to get around to it.

I'd go with Dreamcast. It's small, VGA-moddable and a lot of the games have that untouchable Sega arcade feel that sets it apart from other consoles and hasn't really come around again since. I've had an XBox for years and barely touched it even though it's modded so it'll play backups etc. It does have a bazillion emulators on it though.

I'd vote Xbox myself, they basically never breakdown and I think it's a lot easier to find games for them, I also just really enjoyed it as a machine.

Just found Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising (PS3) and Metroid Prime 3 for £1.99 each in my local British Heart Foundation store. Nice.

Makes a nice change from the usual shite.

Didn't continue with Donkey Kong Country yet, instead went to something else in my backlog: Banjo Kazooie. Never played it before, and only done the first couple of worlds, but really like it so far.
