Good little selection you got there, I remember enjoying Mace Griffin quiet a bit, enjoy :)

Oddly I find myself collecting more and playing less lately but I do enjoy just looking for games. I have a massive backlog as it is so I guess I'm putting out fire with gasoline to paraphrase David Bowie

Do you have Top Gear Overdrive? I remember that being excellent fun.

Yeah, almost all of the Top Gear games(Rally, Rally 2, Overdrive) are super common - I got TGO cart only for a penny on Amazon a while back and it came in really good condition.

The only one I’m missing now is Top Gear Hyper Bike, which is stupidly rare. CIB is over £100 :dread:

Are you going for a complete PAL collection?

I’d like to do that with OG XBOX but eventually I’d have to start spending big money on some absolute stinkers.

Yeah, it’s a long-standing ambition of mine. We’re getting into the realm of big money for wonky games now though; Disney’s Tarzan, the Hercules TV show tie in, Top Gear Hyper Bike, Blues Brothers 2000 and San Francisco Rush 2049 are all gonna be dear. There’s also a few rare sports titles - Madden NFL ‘99, couple of the basketball and hockey games. I worked out recently that something like 4% of the N64’s entire PAL library is basketball games. :slol:

I’m not sure about OG XBox but I’ve been looking at disc copies of 360 games as well(I’ve got around 70-80 at the moment) and some of the big money games are dross like The Simpsons Game, which still goes for upwards of £20. I don’t imagine it’s that different for the XBox itself.

I have a couple of games I’d probably be willing to part with for postage cost Salad dude - Mortal Kombat Deception, Unreal Tournament and two others I don’t remember.

Yeah, the expensive XBOX games are mostly shite like Xiaolin Showdown and Frankie Dettori Horse Racing. The good games can usually be had for buttons. I think I got both Halos, both Gothams and Forza all for no more than a quid apiece.

One of my favourite games on the system, Top Spin was only 50p and it’s so much fun to play. It maybe the best 50p I’ve ever spent.

I’ll bear you in mind for those games too!

I have Topspin 2 on the 360 and it’s legitimately one of the most frustrating games I’ve ever played.

Strangely I have no interest in tennis but I rather enjoy tennis games, I also have Anna Kournikova’s Smash Court Tennis on PS1 which cost me the grand total of a quid.

TGO was my first N64 game as my dad likes Topgear and figured I would need a game to go with the N64. It's fun I suppose, but the clipping through the track and the general speed/handling of it is strawberry floating crazy and really hard to get to grips with these days.

I unlocked the hotdog with courgette wheels vehicle which is ridiculous fast and pretty much just breaks the game clipping through stuff and flying off every couple of seconds.

I'm not sure but I think there's also a taco.

The only thing I haven't unlocked afaik is the last track which I'm assuming is set in space.

It was almost like a precursor to burnout, and even had a Hi-res mode. The frame rate is surprisingly good too. But yeah, doesn't really hold up tbh, there's a few PS1 games that are better but I might try V-rally or Formula 1 2000 I think it is. Dualshock controls hold up a lot better even if the resolution is lower and the shader effects aren't as good on PS1, but at least the image is crisp, which can't be said for most N64 games.

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

They got some more back in stock last week and they sold out in minutes.

There may be some available for other systems right now, but the SNES/SFC/N64/GC cables are up for pre-order again and they're estimating 31st January for shipping.

I get paid at midnight and I'll be getting straight onto that.

Was in there on my lunch break looking for Xbox games (Nothing today) but they've still got a few in the cabinet and none were more than £20. Was tempted by the Lylat Wars and Banjo Kazooie ones to be fair, but N64 isn't where my focus is right now.

The CEX in Middlesbrough told me they had been around clearing out retro stock from other shops to stock themselves with when I was in there looking at their retro cabinets the other day. Wonder if it's the same in other branches as well.

Got my RAD2X cable pre-ordered and its weird to say just how much I'm looking forward to a cable.

Gonna pick up a few other bits n pieces with my Christmas money I think. Got my eye on a game boy player.

EDIT: Yup, just got a loose Silver Game Boy player and a GC Action Replay. Gonna use my Wii to download the GB Interface app to my GC memory card so I can use it without having to get a GBP Disc (At least until I can afford one or find a better way).

Action replay has the freeloader included and will let me play the three or four NTSC GC games I've got (Both Rogue Leader games, Wind Waker).

Also finally got myself an 8BitDo Retro Receiver coming, so I can use wireless pads on my Super Famicom and SNES.
Once my RAD2X arrives I think my SFC/SNES has been sufficiently future proofed for the foreseeable future. :toot: :toot:

I’ve ordered mine as well! Can’t wait. You got an RGB N64? I’m intrigued to see how much nicer that would be compared to big standard.

Not yet, but I've been looking into it. Might prioritise that over moving into my NES set up I think.

Reckon the Rad2x will even be a big improvement with a big standard one then? I’ve been playing mind recently with a composite cable into a scart block and it looks atrocious, so hoping it cleans things up considerably.
