Unrelated but I've got a replacement Dreamcast coming from eBay.

System, 2 Controllers, VMU, Rumble Pack, Dreamkey CD (lol), Keyboard and 8 CIB games (Marvel Vs Capcom, Virtua Tennis, Chu Chu Rocket, Phantasy Star Online, F355 Challenge, Fur Fighters, Sonic Adventure and Virtua Tennis 2) - £73.41 :datass:

Nice :datass:

The pace hdmi adapter is brilliant if you don't plan to use the vga one. Also if it's a MIL CD compatible model, you can run burned games with no modding at all ( played would reaver like this earlier in the year).

It came today actually.

Wasn't expecting it till Monday at the earliest, so that was a nice surprise.

When I turned it on and that echoey, drippy Dreamcast logo screen appeared.

Played a little Sonic Adventure and that game plays so much better on the DC than anywhere else I've tried (PC and GC). Might actually spend some proper time with it again.

Now I've just got to secure a few choice titles (JET SET RADIOOOOOO!!!) and I'll be a happy camper.

Probably going to look into a GDEmu rather than burning discs but I might do a few in the mean time.

And thanks for the HDMI adapter. Might have to snag one of them.

Nice!

The HDMI adapter gives a fantastic picture, every bright and crisp.

Here's my dreamcast collection:

PlayStation and Dreamcast cases are still my favourite, even if they are quite fragile.

The original Saturn game cases were far more fragile, the cardboard outer bit literally glue gunned on to the plastic inners with glue that went brittle after a few months.

That looks beautiful

Have you seen that thread on resetera? It got me thinking about doing something to my gba, but it's in such good condition I couldn't bring myself to tamper with it (context). Maybe if it was broken in some way.

Very nice Hypes.

I've been thinking about IPS modding either my SP or basic GBA for a while. Might pull the trigger on it over the next couple of months.

Oh and nice DC collection Mildew. Some good stuff in there.

I've actually been thinking of modding my Gameboy Colour with an LCD screen, maybe replacing the shell with the Pokémon G/S one, too.

Not sure why, I never use it, and I likely wouldn't even if I modded it. Just sounds like a fun project.

Found a twitch channel that broadcast's Game Center CX episodes on a loop so I've been putting it on in the background to get me through lockdown.

Enjoy.

I'd say go for it, the main reason I did this was just as a bit of fun. I'll probably use it more now that I can see the screen!

The basic GBA obviously needs it a lot more than the SP but they're both drastically improved. Think the mod might be a bit more difficult though. I chose the SP because I don't have my basic GBA with me!

What thread? I'd say do it. Unless it's perhaps a special edition or an AGS-101

The DMG GameBoy Pocket is definitely lovely. Would also like one of them.

I am replaying Manhunt on PS4 forgot how much of a good game it is, Yes it's ott violent but its too the point no distractions in each level some good levels with good detail in them the shoot out's are good fun too the gun sounds are pretty good too. Tempted too buy GTA3 now i want to get Vice City but i know lots of songs have been removed which is annoying and San Andrea's has loads of bugs and glitches supposedly

I'd love some joycon shells and buttons on the proper eu snes/super famicom colours, but the third party ones only seem to cater for the hideous purple US model :dread:

Imagine how good the switch would look with those colours!

I have three GBA SPs in the house so would be happy to mod one of those, how much does the IPS screen/kit go for? Also is it back lit or use the existing frontlight?

They go for around $45, and they're backlit.

I fear I'm stood at the precipice of a crater-sized rabbit hole here, I've spent the past few days looking at all sorts of mods for about half a dozen different systems... :shifty:
