I wonder if anyone can help with this rather specific request.

I'm currently overhauling the Adcade, and want to have it in a more playable state (it has 3 working games on at the moment :fp: )

It's running a raspberry pi 2 model B, with a 32gb card in. What I want is a 32gb image for that specific pi model, containing only arcade games, ideally with bezels implemented. All my searches seem to turn up are pi 3 or 4 images or dead links.

Failing that, somehwere to find a compatible Romset for that specific model would be amazing (it has to be a very particular set, or they won't work).

Thanks!

Arcadepunks have a couple of Pi2 images, but you might be better off upgrading to at least a 3B+.

[NOTE] I've had issues with a lot of pop-ups and adware on this site so make sure your adblocks and stuff are up to date. I can't guarantee how safe it is but it does have a lot of good images for various things and I've never had any problems with them.

Thanks, I'll look on my pc later :)

I would upgrade, but I never use this one, so I want to get to the point of actually playing it before getting another one.

I decided to clean my PS1 collection the other day as they were covered in dust. After about 36 I got bored, but I thought I may as well take a photograph before I put them back again! I can safely say I'll never have a collection as big or as vast as the PS1 ever again. Throw the magazines and demos in there as well and it takes up rather a lot of room.

Even when a game was fantastically gooseberry fool (Chef's Luv Shack, WCW Thunder) we still played it for hours. Days. WEEKS.

With my nextdoor neighbour we must have sunk over 50 hours into the demo of Tekken 3 every day after school before I even got the game. She was so much better at it than I was. And then her younger sister got into it and thrashed me all the time at it as well. You have no idea how hard I had to work for my fleeting victories. :fp:

Broken and cracked cases, another staple of PS1. From memory ISS Pro and Tomb Raider II are both bust because they went everywhere, with a load of us taking it in turns over many months trying to help each other out on TR. And then the strawberry floats released 3 and made it even harder.

Let me guess, she played as Eddie. My sister used to always play as Voldo in Soul Calibur and won 99% of the time just button mashing :x

Yoshimitsu FTW, his 10 hit combo ending with the sword stab 8-)

Dr B or Gon were much cheaper than Eddy Gordo. :dread:

I think it was probably Eddy Gordo, yes. Though I tried two tactics (playing it properly and wrapping my shirt around my hand and rubbing the controller like a madman) and 9 times out of 10 I still lost.

I wiped the pi earlier and installed this one - it's absolutely perfect for what I'm after thank you! Massive mame Romset, all controls pre mapped and lots of handy extras preinstalled to the retropie menu.

It's back:

Glad it worked for you.

Arcadepunks is a great place to find the various images that people make for the Pi and other frontends and some of them get absolutely huge. They're a great way to get something up and running quickly, especially if you don't want to faff around with getting artwork and video clips yourself.

This is exactly why it's so great. Everything is pre configured, everything is mapped in game already, no pissing about. I was easily able to expand the 16gb up to the 32gb capacity from within retropie, and also make the resolution native (it wouldn't pick up on the Adcade screen first so I had to use my monitor).

Very impressed, EXACLTY what I wanted and it's save me days in faffing.

Thank you.

I made a thread back in 2017 ( how the hell has it been that long :dread: ) detailing making it. There's a step by step for most of it. Tldr: I had an ion icade (Bluetooth holder for an ipad) that I never really used, I modified it to have new controls, a screen and speakers, and run emulators via a raspberry Pi. I designed the screen, speaker and bezel areas myself and had them laser cut.

The thread: t:i-convert-my-old-ion-icade-into-a-bartop-raspberry-pi-powered-arcade-machine-how-to-guide-inside?f=2&hilit=Ion

I had a lot of Japanese megadrive games as a kid so have a bit of a strong draw to Japanese versions of megadrive stuff. I just got a small bundle for £24.

This was a complete copy of Fastest 1, and then loose Japanese carts of J league pro striker, Pebble Beach golf links, super Monaco GP, F1 Grand Prix and Fastest 1

Anyone else have any weird wants for particular regions of particular machines etc.

All right, smart arse. He could have added that bit of acrylic himself.

The screen has just this second developed a single pixel line of dead pixels running horizontally through it :(
