Ah yeah I have Doom 64 as well. That seems fairly comprehensive, I’m not sure there are too many others.

^Add Hydro Thunder to that list as well, I clocked an XBox 360 port of it the other day.

Managed to get hold of two completely random N64 games for less than £40 the pair - NBA Pro '99 and a CIB copy of A Bug's Life. I've promised not to buy anymore because we're saving up to move house, so we'll see how badly my arse gets kicked when these turn up. :slol:

They were #170 and #171, so I've got 71 to go, plus the 40 Winks repro.

EDIT: And I'm watching another on eBay...

And there's #172, a (hopefully) mint condition copy of Mickey's Speedway USA for £45. Closing in on the Rareware collection as well here. Just the big two to go, though I'm holding off on them until much nearer the end of the cycle as they cost funny money and I'm not buying them loose.

A ridiculous statistic for you all - one in every 24 games released in Europe for the N64 was a basketball game.

That's quiet a nutty but interesting statistic, there seemed to be a lot of football games and formula one style games on the system as well, oh and quiet a few wrestling games.

Crazy amounts of sports sims found their way to the N64. On the PAL system there were 10 basketball games, 8 football games, 8 wrestling games, 7 ice hockey games, 5 NFL games, 4 F-1 games, 3 baseball games, 3 golf games* and 2 tennis games*. In total, that is one fifth of all PAL N64 games.

*Add another two on for Mario Golf and Mario Tennis respectively.

Wayne Gretzky's on N64 is one of my favourite sports games of all time. It's right up there with Tennis and Windjammers.

If I remember rightly it was the first imported N64 games I had, it was also in the first 10 N64 games I owned so I played it loads.

What's the best N64 controller mapping on a PS4?

Picked up a few odds and ends for OG XBOX from a couple of local CeX stores over the bank holiday weekend,

Rallisport Challenge £1.50
Mercenaries £1.00
Splinter Cell £1.50
Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow £1.00
Duke Controller £12.00

Duke Controllers seem to be going up in price as they were £10.00 the last time I checked and it seems strange that Pandora Tomorrow is cheaper than Splinter Cell, guess it's more common.

Depends what games you're looking to play I guess. I have A and B mapped to A and X on my Bone controller and the C stick to the right stick, analogue to the left. Seems the most logical way of doing it for most things.

Good prices, I especially like mercenaries.

Having a Megadrive kinda month. I've also got a 50/60Hz modded MD on it's way so I can play games at their proper speed instead of the slow PAL versions. :D

Oh nice! How much have you spent on Everdrives, as I'm thinking of picking up a SNES, 64 and MD version?

I would legitimately kill to be able to play my old games on a 55" TV.

Alas I can't hold a controller anymore (or kill anything for that matter).

Too much.

Those are the three I have and they are the more expensive ones but the cheaper ones tend to have some compromises I wasn't wanting.

For SNES you've got the FXPak Pro. There are some cheaper ones but game compatibility is lower.

The N64 one is the Everdrive X7. Mostly went with this over the cheaper one for the better save functionality. Some of the earlier ones need you to hit Reset on the system to properly backup the save file to the SD card.

Went for the Mega Everdrive Pro primarily for the Mega CD support and it was definitely cheaper than the Terraonion Mega SD. Though the Mega Everdrive X7 is a great cheaper alternative if you don't care about Mega CD games.

I get them from RetroTowers who are really quick to get them out. Ordered the Mega Everdrive on Friday and it arrived yesterday.

I should add that I got these over the course of the past 9 months. Too expensive to get more than one at a time.

Grabbed a sealed copy of the Data East classic collection for £15 there pretty neat these retro bit modern multi carts, I have this and the Joe and Mac one and have the Jaleco brawler one on the way.

I also grabbed a loose cart of Tom and Jerry with no label for the SNES for £3 , first SNES cart I've had with no label.
