Probably a psychopath. You'd have to be, to be black in America and get up on national TV and say that.

So, a black woman is unhappy that the murderer of a black man, who several witnesses saw and filmed commiting the crime got exactly what he deserved.

What?

A jury of at least 90 people unanimously decided he was guilty, how is that 'mob justice'?

The woman is strawberry floating insane.

She’s found an extremely lucrative niche playing ‘A Good Black’ for the right wing media to use to try and deflect criticism of racism. A bit like Milo Yiannopolous or however it was spelt was their go-to ‘Good Gay’ to deflect homophobia.

He got his book deals but they eventually turned on him and he faded into obscurity. Candace Owens seems a little bit more collected and controlled than Milo ever was so I think it will take longer for the right to turn on her, but until then she’s just gotta keep saying the right talking points and cashing those cheques.

Bankrupt.

The last election provided a good litmus test for conservative commentators in the US.

Simply put, if they backed Trump's fraud claims they're full of gooseberry fool and only in it for the money.

I actually respect slightly more those few people on the right that actually acknowledge that what we all saw was utterly disgusting and inhumane. They don't seem to go as far as completely accepting the verdict though which is not a surprise.

It makes a mockery of the right's stance of being pro law and order and pro justice system. If you can't support a verdict conducted fairly under the system, then surely they have to concede the justice system isn't fair and is subject to bias?

Personally I don't have any concerns the jury were pressured to give a guilty verdict. There is an appeals process that the right always say is there to protect the constitutional rights of the accused. So hey, if you are on the right, the justice system will fix your perceived injustice. ;)

It probably was an "unfair trial" in the sense it would be impossible to get a jury with zero prior exposure to what happened.

But the fairest trial in the world would still produce a guilty verdict because the evidence on what happened was overwhelming.

Considering cold-blooded murder to be disgusting and inhumane is a pretty low bar for earning your respect!

The guy probably wasn't 'a saint' but when people can't see a problem with the police mercilessly holding someone down until they suffocate then the very fabric of society is at risk.

Cold-blooded murder is only a game... good when fans come together for something more serious.

I don't think he was a model citizen. I doubt many rational people would think he was.

But it's completely irrelevant bringing that up because it doesn't validate what happened in the slightest.

These people seem to want Judge Dredd style policing. It's insane when you think about it.

The extension of their argument is "if you break the law, any law, the police should be allowed to kill you"

As far as I am aware he hadn't committed a crime in over a decade. So their argument is "if you break the law, any law, the police can murder you 10 years later"

One of the most insidious things they do is try to attack the character of the victim, as if that should have any kind of bearing at all.

If I went into town and shot a man dead at random and it later turned out that, unbeknown to me, he was a criminal plotting something dastardly, would mean I was correct to shoot him? There's a self-evidently illogical argument. George Floyd could have been the devil himself and it would still be murder.

You'd think they would have gotten better at it by now, since defending the extrajudicial killing of black men in the US has been a cottage industry since the days of the lynch mobs.
