Remember, if he watches the MMA, he must be OK!

MMA fighters choke each other by the neck all the time and don't kill anyone! Why isn't my client allowed to kneel on a handcuffed man's neck for nine minutes?

One of the witnesses is an MMA fighter so that is the context for the utterly bizarre line of questioning going on.

The MMA guy Donald Williams is pretty much single handily making the case against Derek Chauvin. The defence are absolutely flapping as a result and making noise.

They literally have an expert on choke holds who witnessed the murder saying yep that was a choke hold.

Williams looking at Chauvin as he agrees he called the cops those things.

Judge says they're not going to name the next witness or show her on camera because of her age. Prosecutor immediately forgets and uses her name repeatedly.

Did nobody reprimand him after the first time?

These State witnesses have been very, very well briefed.

Still can't get my head round how we're all just watching this live. It must surely deter witnesses from giving evidence in high profile controversial cases like this.

Whilst cases aren't broadcast live in the UK, this is no different than journalists reporting on witness accounts.

I think its extremely different. A journalist reporting on an account at the end of the day is going to get much less attention than video clips instantly going viral as they happen. Twitter is a flood of clips from the trial right now. The potential reach isn't comparable.

Also, re the witness name, it must either be fake or first names are okay because Sky literally have it displayed on the ticker at the bottom of the screen.

BBC said she could only be identified by her first name because she's still in school... But her first name is very uncommon (never heard of anyone going by that name) so I don't think it's going to leave any mystery.

Does the jury need to be unanimous to get a guilty verdict?
