I finished Act 1 last night and cleared out what I think is everything to do in the area. Still really enjoying this.

Wrapped Act 2 and starting to get that dreaded feeling of not wanting the game to end. Gonna try to get the plat for this too which will be my first ever legit one.

How tough is the trophy list? Is it mostly ‘do everything’ or are there any more awkward ones?

It's all basically "do everything" stuff. I only had to really go out of my way for 3 trophies but other than that you can get the rest just by playing normally and doing all the question marks on the map.

I haven't played this for a couple of days now cos it is too warm to play at the moment.

Hopefully I'll be able to play soon and finish off Act II.

Finally wrapped up the story alongside acquiring the Platinum. What a goddamn ride. I really didn't want this to end, from start to finish GoT was a dream to play through. An experience I won't be forgetting for quite some time. I think a lot of the criticisms are worth attributing, but when the main game itself is just so well crafted, it's hard to really let that spoil me personally. The Mythic Tales, the stories of our allies as we grow a bond with, all so damn brilliant that adds to the final moments for Jin.

I could go on forever about the combat. Even after finishing the game, I feel like I could still keep playing to get my fill for it. The fluidity, the expressiveness of every stance all just blends together flawlessly. Kinda wish I played on a harder difficulty, but thinking I might try a Lethal no charm run in the future to get the most of out it.

Pretty incredible how a game like this helps wrap up this generation. To have a character like Jin Sakai now be a part of the stable of well known PS icons is also cool as heck.

Sucker Punch have just announced a co-op multiplayer mode coming later in the year. Looks like we're getting a separate 2 player story campaign and a 4 player horde mode.

Cool, now you can also watch your sword clip through monsters as well as humans while doing no visible damage.

You still on that huh >,>

Funnily enough I was think about a multiplayer mode being added to the game before this and to see it actually happening is wild.

No it just boggles my mind how they pay so much attention to detail in the environment but none to the actual physical interactions you make

Binary Domain did this: https://youtu.be/mKoyhOO2eic on PS3 but they couldn't render ANY kind of damage on your enemies to give your sword swings actual weight and impact?

That and the release of this multiplayer monster thing just makes it seem like they changed the tone of the game during development.

I dunno where you got the impression that they were going for the super realistic take with this game. It has plenty of goofy mechanics and interactions that would make you question that otherwise.

did the same - incredible game.
i started a Lethal playthrough and it is so much harder than the next difficulty down, im getting my arse handed to me

just to add the story started for me as 'stereotypical samurai tropes' but i was pleasantly surprised at some of the twists and turns and how emotional some of the scenes were.
the only thing i didnt like was Jin suddenly deciding to poison an entire army of Mongols - i was playing quite 'honourably' and the shift made me feel like Jin suddenly wasnt my character but someone else, but thats my only criticism of the storyline i have.
