I finally started playing through some of the Legends mode stuff. They could have easily sold this for a tenner or whatever, surprising amount of stuff to give away for free in this day and age.
Started the game this evening, PS4 Pro in ‘4K’ and holy Christ what a looker. Not 100% onboard with the fighting but it’s ok, seems a bit loose to me. My timing seems legit but a lot of the time the game isn’t having it. Lots to collect and see, so I guess that’s nice now that I’m stuck in the house until god knows when. Any tips for someone starting out? I’m usually a side quest, question-mark-on-the-map chaser but this doesn’t seem to be the way to go so much, looking at the rewards for ‘main’ quests. This bow is a load of shite for a start, crossbows like?
That’s what I’ve been doing but I got royally tanned by these archer tosspots when I stumbled upon some geezer needing rescued from a bridge. Then killed by a bear in like 1 hit. I dunno, seems like I’m too weak for most things. I’m literally wandering around in what looks like filthy bedsheets with actual rope for shoes, though.
if you look at the quests on the map it shows what rewards you will get for completing - focus on getting the bow, armour, and upgrade materials so you can increase your damage and armour asap so you dont get wrecked immediately. id also recommend paying for the talent that lets you resurrect when you die the first time - really helps as you find your feet with the combat.

Yeah. The automatically unlocked one was an armour set, finding a musician. I’ve got to find another musician for the longbow AND explosive arrow (WANT) but it’s greyed out in the mission screen...maybe I have to come across him naturally?
A stunning looking game, but in a very understated way. It looks beautiful, of course, but not overly epic. I found a gorgeous body of almost blue, milky water in the hills. It was only a small stream leading to a pond, but finding it amongst the green of the hills... it was a lovely little moment.

I’m working my way south to get to the story missions, going through the side quests if they’re on the way, or not miles and miles away. The boy Sakai is getting by alright but I wouldn’t mind some extra Resolve...balls...orbs...stuff. I’m guessing they come with doing the campaign.
