I don't see myself picking this up. Between Zelda and horizon I'm plenty stocked up for open world stuff. Wouldn't have the time to put into this. Especially as it was shonky as strawberry float.

Well yes, I like games that have some merit to them. No offence, but your post history suggests you seem happiest when you're playing something that is lacking in the quality department.

I guess we're gonna have to disagree on this, man. To be honest, though, I think that:

was perhaps a tad over the top.

Oh well. Not all games are gonna please everyone.

It's kind of like MGSV but with no polish what so ever. It sort of reminds me of playing an MMO.

Jawa, I went into this beta with an open mind, I thought the concept shown at E3 last year looked interesting and my most played game in recent time was something I first experienced in an open beta. Unfortunately it's a genre that is already crowded and has been done very well in various ways and Wildlands doesn't seem to offer anything new, interesting or well-executed. The fact that the vast majority of positive feedback I've seen has come from people playing with friends, which is something that can make even terrible games fun says a lot.

Comparing it to something like The Division, another game that offered an open beta puts it all into perspective (And I didn't even like The Division enough to end up buying the full version.) If there's anything in this game that actually stands out amongst it's contemporaries I'd be glad to hear of it?

S'all good, Sykes. I'm often surprised at the idea that we should all like the same games... this one doesn't float your boat whereas I'm having fun with it. Diff'rent strokes :toot: .

Yes Jawa but is it as good/bad as No Man's Sky? ;)

The second map in the West is more challenging and one of the missions which was in the training base. I had to sneak in to kill three training officers and it was rather enjoyable though.

I'm getting it if there's enough people to play multiplayer with.
So far I think only Rik has this.
I think this could be quite fun as a multiplayer so I'm hoping more do pick it up as I like being the drone user and being someone who can charge in with a revive if needed. I think the beta did it no favours though and the dialogue between the characters is just bloody painful.

Well, I'll get it if you do.

I'll have to have wait until payday though (25th)

ok then I have it on my boomerang list and have a game I can send back so we should be ready to go.
We just need 1 more person for a full squad.

While I can see why people may think this game is terrible I think it's more down to how you play it.
Yes, it's technically not great but if played as a full squad of friends using whatever tactics you prefer (I prefer to be the drone use who can run in for revives and show people where enemies are and maybe once I get this and we start I might try a sniper but I have zero faith in my ability to shoot people in games like overwatch from 10 feet away so maybe sniping is asking a bit much) and just having fun with the game it works quite well.
I honestly don't think this is supposed to be taken seriously as a tactical masterpiece and the single player would be pretty much unplayable simply because the inane voice chatter between the characters is just so, so awful.

The fact that you have a game where 4 people can use a chopper each and just decide to land in the middle of an enemy base and just run about like insane people just makes it even more fun.

It got a 7.9 from IGN, much higher than I was expecting.

Wishful thinking, but does this have split-screen?
